1. Excellent work by the excavator tech… I still don't understand how the rudder held up to all that pressure. I thought they would pull the mast down from abeam take pressure off the Keel and Rudder as it was pulled then pushed forward. Great video.

11. This is the best video I've ever watched. I know its been years but I'm still going to comment. What a great group of people (all of them) getting this done, amazing work!! this is 2021, I'm struggling with a terminal illness, I watch a shitload of videos that suck, this one makes me feel really good. I've always loved sailing, but also block & tackle stuff, and then the backhoe/crane stuff was amazing, whew..left me on the edge of me chair 😎 Cheers ya'll

14. This guy was extremely lucky, lifting a large boat without a spreader bar usually ends in disaster.

15. Go to the channel “Another Adventure” and watch how ONE WOMAN does the same job with No Heavy Machinery and two or three crew….Oh, and without all the drama & music. She also ends up owning the boat and sailing off the same way but much, much cheaper. Makes this look like Comedy.

22. With judicious editing, and no music or narration, this could have been a great 12-minute video!

23. In every exploit there are doers thinkers watchers and grandstanders. My favourite was mr rip curl!

24. If you didn't have heavy equipment but just simple tools you "might" be able to fab up a cradle from scrap metal and old car axel/rims/tires and roll it out or make a flat cradle and roll that on some round pipes or logs! Fantastic video though, props the whole rescue team!

Io sono un velista del lago Trasimeno dove con una barca a vela il Vaurien , navigo con tranquillità per tutto l'anno, ma vedere una barca come il Kolibri che si è arenata e vedere tutti gli sforzi fatti dalle ditte specializzate per il recupero, mi viene una rabbia tale che verrei da voi laggiù per tirarvi l'orecchie !! secondo me sarebbe bastato l'alaggio con quella enorme gru, senza andare a sconvolgere tutta la spiaggia. Comunque la cosa è stata fatta, quindi buon vento ed in culo alla balena !!! Luciano il perugino 🤣
