Aglaia este un iaht spectaculos din aluminiu de 66 de metri, proiectat de arhitectul naval Dubois Design. Montajul mare sloop este complet din carbon cu tăchelie EC6 și oferă un raport suprafață a velei/deplasare echivalent cu un iaht de curse. Având motto-ul de a dezvolta un iaht de peste 60 de metri care navighează ca un dinghy, echipa de proiectare și construcție și-a stabilit obiective specifice, cum ar fi ridicarea pânzei principale în mai puțin de două minute și virarea ambarcațiunii în 30 de secunde. Șantierul Naval Vitters a dezvoltat un sistem inovator de depozitare pe două tamburi în vârful din față pentru Staysail și Code 1. În plus, Vitters a proiectat un nou tip de înfășurare pentru Staysail pentru a crește siguranța echipajului, evitând complet manipularea manuală pentru ridicarea și reglarea pânzei mari. . Aglaia și-a început al doilea sezon mediteranean cu o noutate spectaculoasă: acum poartă o lucrare de artă Cod 1 a designerului de artă norvegian Magne Furuholmen. Aceasta este cea mai mare opera de artă din lume pe pânză. Deși cu greu se poate numi o pictură de 3600 mp un detaliu, aceasta este încă o confirmare a că aproape fiecare detaliu al acestui iaht este extraordinar. It seems like the owners of theses types of boats build them just to show everybody they have the money and can make it bigger than you can…it lacks the elegant touch of a J-class or S&S designed boat, it looks cold and dead with no personality other than saying I have the biggest piece of unique art work …there are worse like Bill Gates new bucket but that is to be expected..this is never going to compete in a race other than Antigua perhaps where they will win the biggest Boat in the Harbor…

This random video shows up… although it is 10 years old, the SV is still spectacular and looks so modern. Also it’s nice to see the sails unfurl. All the latest videos never show the sails deploying. I wonder why? 🤔 👍
