Sunt cluburile de iaht – în sine – ofensive? Potrivit Senatului studențesc de la Pitzer College, răspunsul este da.

The people proposing Pitzer's Yacht club were not actually trying to instate a Yacht club, they were wasting Pitzer's senate's time trying to prove a point after the instatement of the Tattoo Club. They were upset because they did not agree with the idea of a Tattoo club and thought the club was asking for a lot of money, money, which hasn't and probably won't be granted to them. Yacht club was a ridiculous attempt to make a "point" that just ended up wasting everyone's time.
I am a student at Pitzer College and I serve on the Student Senate that Fox is refers to. First of all, the reasons behind Pitzer's Student Senate disliking "a yacht club" was more based on the exclusivity as in classist aspects of the term "yacht". Should this have been the reigning issue of discussion? Probably not. Does the school focus on being politically correct too often, sometimes. Do I completely agree with what was said in the discussion that night at Senate, not completely!
BUT: the fact remains that Fox news decided to interview a Claremont McKenna Student who writes for the conservative newspaper on the Claremont Colleges – this is one and ONLY one highly removed opinion. Fox did not interview a Pitzer student who could actually shed some light to this headline. That's is BIASED reporting. Although, I do agree with parts of Fox's analysis.
Additionally, the term "offensive" has been placed out of context from what the actual discussion was about this entire time the media has blown this up. The foremost point of contention was whether Pitzer College's students' activity fees should go towards the funding of a yachting club rather than another type of activity. The question up for debate was: Is this what Pitzer College student activity funds should be used for?
Glick is a champ.
Success is offensive to liberals. 🙂
The politically correct circus called America is going downhill very fast. …….the madness and the stupidity is ever increasing. …….the nation is falling apart. …..rotting away. ……………….and Satan is laughing himself silly.
A yacht is a generic term and a perfect fit for the Liberal's aim to make American ordinary
White people first world problems. "They didn't allow our yacht club". LMAO!
This nation is becoming rather retarded. What is offensive about an yacht club. It may only be offensive to those who can't afford an yacht. I can't afford one nor would I want an yacht. But I'm not offended from it.
What do you expect of people who grew up being told every child's is a winner who deserves a trophy?
Beyond a joke. If people don't like it they do not have to attend. Nothing is forced on them.
Yachts aren't offensive, super-yachts are. I understand wanting to buy something big a cool with your money. But once it reaches the point where the money for your yacht could feed a starving country for years, fuck you. Do you really need a mile long boat with 2 helicopter pads and a submarine bay? Some of these things cost literally billions. Once you make a certain ridiculous amount of money (say 100 million) you should have 100% of your earnings after that sent to the government or a charity. Just look at the guy who owns 5 hour energy, he made Billions but he only keeps 1% of his earnings, the rest goes to inventing things to help people in third world countries such as free energy generators and machines to filter massive amounts of salt water into fresh water, now that's a Billionaire who knows how to properly spend his money.
