  1. Toby, are you for real? You start off by saying "wouldn't this boat be great to cross The Atlantic?" and then say you "really want to stand here and steer this boat!".
Get real! Who wants to stand at almost the stern of the boat, getting drenched…for a coupla weeks?

You have to be clever to be a publicist!

  2. Horrible film production. music is from a bad porn movie. And of course for serious buyers there's no mention of even a ball park price. Way to sell a boat for the yard. Yes I asked and yes I can afford it so lets include some business details in your videos Yachting World.

  3. It is a very pretty yacht and obviously it sails really well. I like it. Two questions though. How does the crew get to the crew quarters in the bow? Do they have to walk through the port side forward guest cabin? With the single point main sheet forward of the helm stations, how do you build a bimini enclosure that doesn't require the helmsman to walk out into the weather to get from the cabin to the helm? You would need a bimini over the entertainment cockpit, an open gap for the main sheet then another bimini for the helm station. For stormy or cold weather conditions you would want both biminis to be enclosed. So, the helmsman would need to open the rear of the cockpit enclosure, exit, stand in the open, then turn around and close it, then open the helms station enclosure, enter, then close it behind him/her before assuming control of the boat. So, in rain or spray conditions, teh helmsman would need to be wearing foul weather gear to take the watch. Additionally, postulate you're sailing on autopilot with the on-watch helmsman in the comfort of the cockpit enclosure, when something happens that requires immediate manual control of the boat at the helms station. So, the helmsman has to get out of one enclosure and enter the other at speed, possibly in an emergency. Doesn't sound like a very good idea, unless there is a way I don't see to build a single bimini that accommodates the layout.

  4. What stuck both my wife and me about this review was the look of utter sadness on the reviewer’s face, which we thought must have been put there because at the same time that he was discovering what I think is the most beautiful and elegant yacht I have ever seen and lusted for, he could not help but reflect that he would have to leave and in all probability would never get to sail it agin. That look of sorrow did more to sell that yacht than any amount of vulgar enthusiasm.

  5. I love Contest yachts. This 67 is very pretty, she carries her lines ever so well. The smaller yachts, in their range, IMO have far too much freeboard to be pretty. Unfortunately I find Toby’s reports really quite dull and very uninspiring.
