  1. I have been inspired by so many people, like yourself. I am not at that point yet to just say the hell with it but each day I get closer. I did take sailing lessons and go sailing when I have the available with the sailing club I joined. I can smell it, opportunity that is, it's out there! Love your story and vids.

  2. I am a corporate pilot who lost my medical about 6years ago due to a seizure. I flew for 20 years and miss it occasionally but like yourself now spend most of my time on the water (when it's not frozen). Great channel and keep living the dream!

  3. Nice inspiring video, i'm with you all the way. Great news about Megan and the pups are ok sailing solo with dad. Hope to catch up with you later this year. A ton of work to do to get her ready but when you see her you'll know it's Sea Nomad…

  4. Patreon should be funding video, cameras, editing…etc. Not your journey, a boat or gofundme. Your story is not unique…there are many more interesting stories on YouTube. Megan is your siren…and without her…your future is limited. Love your stuff…sorry if truth seems brutal.

  5. YOU'RE A PILOT. That explains everything. Only a pilot could have the skills to attract so many beautiful women to come onboard. I'm a retired pilot whose still with the same wife for over 32 years. I've got one more kid to get through college and then I'm heading south myself. We'll be in the BVI in June. Perhaps we'll see you down there. Good luck and best wishes.

  6. Hey Bobby, Thanks for this short video. It was good to get to learn a bit more about Captain Bobby and your "inspiration". You are an inspiration for others, myself included. Fair winds and following seas. I hope we meet on the water one day.

  7. Enjoyed your last live steam video, if you haven't had the chance to tune in during a live stream now would be a great time to ask question and get to know these great down to earth people.

  8. I admire the aquatic lifestyle that you have taken up. I have always liked water and would enjoy being around all the water you're around, though I have never been interested in actually sailing a boat. But what do you do in the wintertime when the weather is too cold for all of that swimming? I hope that there's somewhere you can go where the weather is nice all the time or else flee from one place to another place whenever the weather changes.

Your story is similar to mine because I have Asperger's syndrome and can't participate in a career. But I am interested in camping-related things in connection to living a simple and minimalist lifestyle where everything I have is purely functional and efficient.

  9. you recovered form your stroke. My brother and  I have been caring for my mother for 13 years who had a stroke that left her with no speech , paralyzed on one side . This is my journey caring for her everyday is a challenge and like yo said we are never fully ready . Nice channel great videos congrats  !

  10. Bobby, I backed in to Sailing Doodles via your other channel, Flying Doodles. I was looking for stuff on Cessna 182s when your channel came up. I started watching, and I like FD. Then the Aerostar owner mentioned SD, so I checked it out. I was totally hooked; I've binge watched all the episodes! Now that I'm all caught up, I have to wait till your next one comes out…

I can also relate to you because, like you, I lost my medical. What sucked was I got to my commercial/instrument before it happened. I was so close to flying professionally! If I'd lost it early on, that would be one thing; to lose it on the cusp of achieving your goal, that's something else. Unfortunately, that closed the door to the flying career I'd hoped to have. I wish I'd had the presence of mind to do like you did, and start sailing the world. Now that I'm retired from electronics, I might follow your example, and get a sailboat of my own… 🙂

I love the channel, and I plan on becoming a patron soon. Keep up the great work!

  11. Bobby and crew, I love the video's and story, but Patreon is working to silence political speech they do not agree with so I will have to stop watching. Best of luck!

  12. We are in the middle of the worst Pandemic! If you want to make a donation there are so many people in lines at food banks. Why make donations to people eating in restaurants, buying a sailboat, staying in hotels and traveling the world during Covid…If your kick is to watch girls in Bikinis, you can do it for free on the internet…LOL…One last thing Bobby, if your insurance doesn't pay for your damages or if you neglected to take the proper coverage, you are irresponsible.
