Tony is a nice guy and it was a good overview for people to see what life is like for an officer on a normal shift. Good job!
Fished out of Coos Bay back in the 50's/60's. We were anchored at Cape Blanco August 5th 1962 when dad & I heard that Marilyn Monroe had passed. There's a lot of history in that area. We mostly stayed at Charleston instead of on up the river. There used to be a miniature rail-road that us kids loved riding back in the day.
As you went up the river I got to thinking about the big chip piles that I've delivered to, going under the McCullough Bridge with the radar on and you could see the bridge on the radar, the Sause Brothers Tug Company and last but not least, the Old Weyerhouser Mill site that's now a Indian casino.
When you were riding around with Mr Tony, I half expected you to pull over Billy Sweet, Mark Springstein or Brice Barklow just to see if the new car could still keep up with their "OLD trucks!!!(;>)

Majority of cops out there are like this cop…simply a good guy doing a job most of us wouldn't or couldn't.
That was pretty cool. In my time as a crazy motorcyclist I loved to go fast, so I got a lot of tickets. I learned that being polite to a policeman is always the best policy. I once was speeding on a side street when I saw a motorcycle cop with a radar gun and immediately pulled right over, BEFORE the cop even got on his motorcycle. When the policeman finally pulled in behind me he said "You're no fun" Then he asked me why I pulled over like that. I said that I was speeding and I knew he'd got me on radar, so why go any farther? With that he let me go! Not all cops are great but when you meet good guys like Tony it leaves an impression.

At first I thought that guy was really young to retire, then I realized he was a cop. Cops and firemen all fake some kind of back injury etc. and retire at 45. Must be nice.
