A devenit atracția turiștilor și fotografilor care nu pot rata trecerea luxoasei ambarcațiuni de pe terasa funicularului din Piazzetta din Capri. Valoarea estimată este de 460 de milioane de dolari, 143 de metri lungime, trei catarge mari dintre care cel mai înalt ajunge la 91 de metri, 54 de membri ai echipajului și 20 de oaspeți. Acestea sunt numerele „Sailing Yacht A”, noul gigayacht cu vele al magnatului rus Andrey Melnichenko, construit de Nobiskrug și proiectat de Philippe Starck. Who owns it? I want to see the interior
But you can see the result of wrong design, you can't stretch the sail enough to get a efficient wing effect, its just nice to look at, but not efficient. If they want to speed up, they have to use the engine. BLUFF

I've seen several videos of this boat, and it has to be the ugliest sailing vessel I've ever seen. It's the megayacht equivalent of a 1970s Bayliner Buccaneer, without the windows. If I had to design something this hideous to satisfy a client, I'd do so under a pseudonym so my reputation wouldn't be ruined by it.
The yacht looks really beautiful. It was hard to appreciate the style at the first glance, though.

I see this and I’m like well that’s on a whole different level. There’s yachts and then there’s this. I would imagine a lot of wealthy people would look at this and realize that the gauntlet has not only been thrown down its been pissed in and pour over everyone’s heads. It’s hard to comprehend the kind of wealth it takes to acquire something of this magnitude.

I think this design is very cool, looks like a modern version of sailship from 500 years ago!
Looks otherworldly with the sails up but still nowhere near what I would build had I that kind of money. Don't like it all.

£600 million all from Coal when Andrey Melnichenko knows about the dangers of fossil fuels. He has done nothing to change to sustainable energy then has the audacity to build a hybrid ''sail'' yacht. Its such an eye sore, its embarrassment oozes a discharge of greed and complete discontent for the future of mother earth. The all teak deck was sourced from Burma which is currently illegal due to deforestation.
