  1. I noticed that she was always underway via motor and sail. Does she even sail without motoring haha? Seriously large displacement and weight, 50knot apparent wind & 8knots of boat speed?

  2. She's a beautiful cat. But, at 171 tonnes (some sites list as 185 tonnes) how can it be called a performance cat 0:13 ? I have seen varying max speeds between 16 and 25 knots (motor sailing?), but nothing on the sail plan. It is hard to see it doing anything over 12 in perfect conditions. In contrast, the Sunreef Carbon 80 is a 45 tonne vessel (Gunboat 90 at 51 tonnes) capable of 20 knots with a 340 m2 sail plan, the Necker's specs does not make the calc for a performance cat. Performance usually means "light".

  3. Just lovely! The only issue I can see is her size with that 47' beam. Narrow channels getting out to the Gulf here on the west coast of Florida or to open water could present a serious situation on a busy Sunday afternoon. Choosing a marina that could accommodate such a beamy vessel would be another issue to consider and hauling out as well. This boat is obviously not for everyone but, I can't say I wouldn't love to have it. Thank you for showing us this beautiful yacht.

  4. Actually, I don't think I understand why people are complaining about the asking price for this. It almost seems kind of low to me. I think if it were 8 or ten years newer, it would be over double that. This boat is of insane proportions and the with all that was added and replaced in the re-fit make it seem like a "bargain". Not for me, my budget will be about 1/10th of this, but if this is your market, seems like an amazing yacht to me.

  5. very very cool. But. All that volume, and you have to convert an area of the salon in order to sleep 10 guests…..?

  6. there are reasons why they don't show crew quarters i have look at a few of thees video and never they show theme most likely awful or cheep!!! and engin compartment EHHHH!!! but still a nice yacht

  7. Why would you buy a sailing boat if you are going to have a crew to sail it for you? Is it because you can't afford the diesel? Or maybe because you're saving the environment? Too harsh?

  8. OMG what an amazing "live aboard" boat. It is like a floating spacious high quality bungalow. You'd have to look outside to verify your not on land… This one is on my short-list! 😉

  9. In fact quite remarkable that they didn't put a second (third?) deck on top as you often see with larger catamarans… Then you could take yet another family cruising with you… 😉
