i have seee a hand full of others sailors with big YouTube Chanels. This guy is WAY!!!!! Better. He should have a tv show on HBO. Not one thing i didnt like. I am sure he has been fun to be around his whole life. My kond of ppl. I defiantly will send his something Peace frrm TEXAS
Can I go with you? I don’t know anything about sailing, but I would pay you to teach me!
You dont have to have a wind vain for single hand – 1 solar panel will run electric auto pilot on a small boat 30 – 35 feet , for sure. (you just carry spare parts, in case. If the wind vein breaks, its the same thing.) , and 1 solar will keep your batteries charged at the same time.
1 solar panels and a 400 watt wind turbine provides more than enough power for me. It runs everything everything but a frig and a/c, and it keeps keeps the battery bank charged/ 4 batteries..
Wind vein steering is nice, but expensive and no more reliable than lectric. Lectric is cheaper and works just as good or better , they are made to be reliable , and it works with no wind.
I had to choose one or the other, I couldnt buy both. I chose lectric and spare parts, cuz it always works. Wind vain only works in good wind.
SIMPLY MAGICAL!! . . . . ."Home the Sailor from the Sea and Home the Hunter from the Hill". TY & GOD SPEED
Lost count how many times watched this video to sleep
The boat life and bushradical cabin life seems so… “libertador”
Dunno the word in english only in portuguese
just wonder how you sleep
a sailor. a philosopher. a gentleman.
Why dont you sail the southern hemisphere during the North's winter ?
I truly enjoyed your journey / adventure. Thank you for providing your great video
lmao got to get every single rattle!
Mellow jazz and a wide open ocean. Does it get any better ?
hope your still sailing! great watch, thank you.
Bravo , Excellent video sir !
Very entertaining video for an an old sea dog to watch late at night tucked up in bed.. 🙂
I mostly day sail and your spirit sails with me. Great combo of introspection, humor and skill. I did one overnight 11 miles away and I felt like Christopher Columbus. I love the end of this video with the bucket, makes me miss my Dad.
you are truly awsome, learned alot from your vidio, very inspiring. my dreams are to follow your path in achieving the same thing. thank you ! be blessed
Dear Count/Captain,
Your adventures haunt me… not due to the peril, but to the coffee you brew aboard. Might I suggest an instant? Wait! …please hear me out. Medagalia D’Oro is an instant espresso from Mexico. It is rumored to be one of the treasures Cortez brought back to Spain. It comes in a crystal decanter (jar), and is, by far, the best instant coffee I’ve found. Each morning, even now, I enjoy two generous mugs of it’s robust flavor.
A good brew, is as important to sailors, as wind vane or ePerb. Essential for morale, and survival. Of course it must meet your highest standards to be aboard your fine vessel.
Happy Sailing, and thank you for your words, perspectives and your grand adventures.
Thank you. No naked women, just sailing adventures and family!!!
Great videos! & safety tips while I sit in front of the fireplace waiting for the ice on Lake Superior to melt!!!! Thanks Geo.
Muito bom 😊😃
I have watched this video more than 2 or 3 times, I love it, and it is very inspiring,it has many good lessons. Thank you, Sr.
Awesome vid..
Good job on the crossing and video, good content and philosophy
You mean I have to do it wrong so I can learn to do it right?
What a fantastic video, my salty hero! I appreciated, and related to, your talking about being in the world, aware of your size, yet undiminished. The, upon your return, of the sense of being present at sea would now need to also include future tense again. I felt those things 8 weeks ago making the Tahiti to NZ passage. And you communicated those feelings beautifully. Thank you, Skipper.
You are a valuable man. Experiences cannot be underestimated. May be life is all about experiences. The mind travels through experiences.
Hi there. Great video! i really enjoyed heading to Hawaii and back on board-almost felt like that, I hope I am going to be able to do something like that in my lifetime too..
Cheers Captain !
And may u be complete……wherever u are….
Please…do not allow ur humor to die out!!
I do enjoy your comments. I am sorry that more people are not like you. Life would be even more fun….
