I had met the 112' schooner Mauna Tea in Honolulu. They had just arrived from Cabo San Lucas bound for Tahiti. After an overnight sail to Waimea Bay they offered me a position. I declined since I already had a good job on the water. Any young person should seriously consider signing on to these yachts.
What's the minimum crew needed?
as a skipper (!) of a very small sailboat and as one who has had the pleasure of spending a week on a Concordia Yawl at a regatta off Mt Desert Island, i still become breathless when experiencing or watching the incredible beauty of sailing vessels. After all these decades, it still makes me shake my head in admiration.
