  1. Beautiful boat. Genuinely moving design. Do you really think she’s mostly suited to calmer waters? Is that just the design of the cockpit? With the fairly low sides, and no rail? Is there not a possibility to install some blue water gear? Lots of space for solar on that pilot house 😅

  2. Well, you do show this boat sailing and that alone in the presentation is to the good and all too rare. Thank you. However, the galley is never shown dead-on as it should be, incuding stove and sink, and completely, including refrigerator and freezer, a giant, and obvious ommission. The engine could so easily have been shown fully, but instead, isn't in the least, just it's awkward, indeed bizarre, potentially intrusively noisy location. The aft head has some format of shower does it? Mention is made only of the separate shower in the head of the main (bow located) cabin, and then when we're guided there, it isn't shown in the least! The Nav-Station is shown as to location, a door of a cabinet possibly holding instrumentation is opened and we see just precisely what(?) The exterior of the door, nothing else! In the showing of the main cabin, a stowage drawer beneath the mattress platform is opened but are we afforded a view to gauge size/depth/capacity(?), absolutely not. Do the two aft berths have doors and any stowage whatsoever? None is shown in either respect, much less the interior of the aft head; a wet locker anywhere? Water tank capacity(?), no mention, fuel tank capacity(?), no mention. No fans visible anywhere, and lighting hard to discern. This boat has tons of unfulfilled, potential, frustratingly close at hand design and implementation-wise, and could look much less like a surgeon's sterile, well-daylit "shop" with the excess of white at the expense of visual warmth for which plenty of potential is in evidence. How about the strategic application of some stain and varnish properly applied? One is left "pining" for the beautiful boat lurking barely beneath the surfaces and key aspects of the interior; actually, potentially truly a boat for life. However, as is and as ill-shown, most unhappily, the mark is so painfully close in many terrific ways and missed so completely at the same time, in my view. At length this is written because great potential authentically appears so near and yet so far here (Oyster Bay. Long Island, New York originally; we know well-crafted and realized boats). Good luck to you and to the ship-wright.

  3. Echoing the sentiment that the cameraman did a very, very poor job, as you're describing things he never actually… show the things properly. The engine of course being the most egregious example, how do you not show the engine bay of a boat like this?

  4. Way too few cabinets. Cabins are spartan. Massive mid salon engine island is a real puzzle…

Not space and storage outfitted for serious blue water, even Mediterranean blue water. In a 55 foot boat, that is a real shortcoming.

  5. What a great sailboat the PC55 is. I love the pilot cutter design –which dates back to the late XIX th century in the UK I believe. A fine, reliable ocean-going vessel indeed. Saludos from Uruguay.

  6. Only thing i dont like about lots of hatches is if your out and a hammered with 50' waves even go over i want the boat to be water tight'

  7. Elin Amerikalısı ta dünyanın öbür ucundan bizim Bodrum'a kadar yelkenlisini test etmeye gelir, biz yokluktan burnumuzun dibindeki koylara gidecek dermanı bulamayız. Ne yapayım? Ne diyeyim?

  8. One to turn the audio off. The commentary is weak, and wind noise annoying. Use a dead cat next time. Or just don't talk at all. Get out of the front of the camera. As for the interior. I like the light. dislike the look of the interior, some mirrors or art would improve it. cabins are small, and turn it into a daysailor or weekender. I like the light all the way around on the doghouse. Overall I expect it sails well, but it is a pass, IMO..
