This man has one of the greatest voices I've ever heard.
I sure wish echo would've posted those pictures
I just watched this podcast… Late to the game…, but good heavens…what an American Treasure this man was… May he rest in peace….
Wow. Thanks for these Podcast.
My grandpa was a ww2 vet. He joined fairly late in 1943. He was a B-17 50 cal gunner. He spent most of his time in Texas doing training and one day he and a dozen others at his command were pulled by the Army and sworn to secrecy and began training on the B-29 super fortress in early 1945. It wasn’t until early July 1945 that he and his fellow aircrewmen were told that they were going to Guam. They still had no idea what they were doing until a briefing on August 4th 1945 that they were going to be secondary plane to drop the bomb on Hiroshima should the Enola Gay be shot down and were transferred to the Mariana Islands. They had no idea what kind of bomb they had, all they were told was that it was a very large bomb capable of changing the tide of the war. My grandpa got to see the Enola Gay take off that early morning to go to Hiroshima. They stood by for word if they needed to deploy. Then they watched the Enola Gay return.
These men saved the world. Thanks Joko for helping bring light to their stories.
We walk in the footsteps of GIANTS!
I fear to know what that gun shop guy made his mother do for that gun. :/
Well he had a certified Native moment. What, with that vision he had.
Damn Cober 😂
Incredible interview. To call these guys the Greatest Generation doesn't do them justice. I think Mr Harvey must have a lot of Commanche blood flowing in him , he is truly a fighter. And a gentleman with a heart, those three qualities are rare to the point of extinction today
Riveting…
I could listen to men like him talk forever. I really wish that they'd been given a similar platform in their younger days. What I wouldn't give to have an archive filled with the tales of men like Mr Harvey.
What a man. What a storyteller. Captivating and humble. I thoroughly enjoyed this.
MN Orbanist Nazi State Media: You have met Viktor Orban, who is also often maligned by certain media outlets. Do you think what you could have read about him reflects reality?
JBPeterson: Possibly, I can't say for certain. I know that one of the things your Leader is trying to do is reinstitute the metaphysical foundations of Hungarian culture. He might be lucky and succeed.
Another guest of Führer Orban in the Nazi eagle nest, the Führer-Castle of Buda, Father Jim Blount: I would like to tell you a secret about Jesus and a secret about your prime minister. Another name for Jesus is Viktor.
His unit has a 94% casualty rate on Iwo Jima.
This poor guy has no idea what his Mom did for that pistol. Rhymes with shmo brob.
this is pure gold!
Interesting about the ground being hot.
I remember my grandfather telling me about the ground being hot on the volcanic islands. He never told me what islands he was on, but this is the first person I've heard talk about that besides my grandfather. Of course my grandpa was in the army not the Marines. He never said anything about what he did . I just know his tombstone says U.S. army, World War II veteran, Pacific 1944-45
f jocko, sooooooooooo annoying

hmmmh
why is jock trying so hard
Almost 4 hours of cap.
show this to everyone coming up now.
What is so crazy is the fearlessness of these soldiers. It’s mind boggling. Maybe because so many knew so little. Or maybe because they knew something and didn’t care. Really, it’s unimaginable.
