I posted this video FULLY KNOWING there would be some abuse thrown at me from the comment section. I have completed approximately 33 700 nautical miles at sea. A large portion of the East African coast, South Africa, 2 cross Atlantic's, the English Channel, and a large part of the Mediterranean. I HAVE EXPERIENCED FAR WORSE SEAS than the ones displayed in this video. This video was made because I received a comment that requested a video showcasing bad sea. This is the worst we would take this boat in with following seas and as a result, made the video. I have no problem with you commenting the sea is not that big, because… its not. The way the boat was reacting, the key turning off, all of it together was enough reason to film the video.
Anyway, thanks for the abusive comments, the more people that comment the more my channel gets displayed to people so, thanks for your help 😉
Hi Jared, that storm looked chaos for the boat and I can deffo appreciate the waves not looking as big on camera! One question which I want to ask is that a boat of that size, I assume, has stabilizers? Do they become obsolete in conditions like these (E.g. sea is too rough) and just not work? Love your content man

Those keys look the were installed by a handy man not a boat yard. Pretty crappy.

Pure gold. Thank you for the experience. Amazing crew, that was a serious situation to go thro. Going through that weather was bad enough but loosing one of the only things keeping control is a nightmare. Hats of. Would be amazing to work with such a crew.

Ok fair, these were bad seas and bad circumstances for this yacht! Yes, compared to seas I have been in the Navy, these were not bad. But I would say, that seas like this are not good for the guests…..if I was a guest, I would be loving it!!!! 😉

An Interesting video clip, which I felt highlighted an aspct of quite a few modern motor yachts. They are not really built to be able to handle rough weather..! The fact that this vessel did manage to, must be due in no small part to the skill and efforts of her very competent crew. I find it ironic, that so often a comparatively insignificant occurrence, like a loose water bottle for instance, can sometimes have devastating consequences..!
33 knots of wind is about Bft 6, what we call a stiff breeze. That you have experienced much more worse conditions is clear, but this boat is apparently not fit to meet these conditions.
Sorry but that key location for the main engines is piss poor. Why wouldn’t they be on top of the counter with the other controls.
Where is the bad weather ? is that coming in part 2 ?
Sounds like a very inexperienced crew and skipper to me, if you need a bottle to switch off an engine for you to realize you were going too fast! One of the fundamental of power boating in heavy weather in a following sea is to sit on the back of a big wave/swell and just ride it without overtaking it. How is it possible that this crew does not know this and needs a bottle to work it out! Wow, makes me never want to charter a super yacht, if these are the kind of crews you get!!!
