  1. One of the many reasons I enjoy your channel, variety! From 100 meter superyachts to 20 foot runabouts…..to a seminar on yacht advertising, you cover this industry so well David! Keep these great videos coming

  2. What a nice bank holiday surprise. Kevlar and Carbon fibre 70 knots, handy for the Gulf of Aden. And when your not out running pirates, something to relax with although a suspect that the prices reflect that these are not your run of the mill craft.
Looking forward to the upcoming Vlogs, which are sure to be informative and insightful, the second half of the year is looking up.
Thanks for another slice of pure escapism.

  3. David, I would like to know if it's possible to take say an Azimut 51 Atlantis out on the water solo or do you need someone with you as crew.
I want a boat that you can take friends out with you and overnight, but also just go out on the water on your own.

I would like to get your opinion on the sort of break-even length of a boat before you need a skipper or crew because often you just want to go out on the water at the drop of a hat without phoning someone to come with you.
In Australia the sun and UV rays are too strong for a day out on a speedboat that has no hardtop cover hence the attraction of the Atlantis 51.

    Many thanks.

  4. Fantastic content as always!
Something I have always wanted to know is how much it costs to commission just the design of a yacht? Is it charged by the hour or is an estimate given? I see figures upwards of 2 million Euro just to have a superyacht designed but those numbers aren't from the most reputable sources. It would also be great to know how long the process takes and if a designer just does a quick design to show the client or goes through all the naval architecture and engineering before showing it to the client?
An interview with a designer would be great! A documentary series following the design of a yacht would be even better (please excuse me if I am asking for too much)
Keep up the great work! 🙂

  5. The dipiu is my fav but i wish it has a little bit more outdoor space, thanks for the content David!

  6. Awesome job David! Always love the the videos. Can't wa't to to see the video when you're not having bad weather. Side request. Please visit the Wider 150/165 again. It's my favorite!

  7. You do a fantastic job and the only thing I would love to see you add to the VLOG is the "Starting price" OR a range on anyone of the given boats you report on,.
    Keep up the good work!

  8. I truly enjoy your videos, David, and would like to thank you for making them.
Now while I'll never be able to afford one short of winning a lottery that I never play anyway, I don't begrudge yacht owners/operators one bit.
They've worked hard to get where they are and without them we would never see such fantastic vessels.
Being a network engineer myself, I am rather curious though.
Given today's massive advancements in telecommunications – both wired and wireless – just how are today's modern yachts configured to provide internet/networking capability?
Is it all SATCOM or GSM/LTE technology? Any yachts building in long-range wireless antenna tech to connect to like antennas on shore?
Are any yacht builders designing A/V systems that include built-in network-attached-storage devices that can serve video/music on demand or is it all stuck in the 00's DVD/CD era?
Perhaps a future video on yacht telecommunications infrastructure?
Thank you for your time and safe travels.

  9. Hello David, I have seen a few of your videos now and like your professionalism, format and honest reviews. I was hoping you might working your schedule the opportunity to test and review the Ocean Alexander 45's. They look the bee knees inside and out, especially to diving orientated version (hint, hint). Had you plans on looking at them? The Anvera 48 seems very similar to the OA 45's and I'd love to hear you comparison and thoughts. Cheers. Keep up the good work from Aust.

  10. I will admit i like the spots you do in the 'little guys', both in size of vessels and companies. I would like to see you continue in that vein and try looking at a different technology that is quiet often overlooked in the industry… wood… i would like to see some of the buillders of wood boats. i know you did the company in Turkey but I know there are others even here in the good ol USA.

  11. David, I live in Calcutta, India and there is hardly any culture for boat keeping let alone yachting, inspite of the river and sea not being very far off. That is why I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work. Some day may be, some day….. I will talk to you as a prospective client.

  12. David always gets a like from me before starting the video. I really prefer the covered bow as opposed to bow seating – the beautiful wood covered bow like Riva does looks spectacular.
