  1. Just curious. How does a Canuck deal with banking in the US and the Bahamas ??? How are you going to deal with renewing an Ontario drivers license or you Canadian passport when the time comes ? Did you get a post office box in Chatham, and have your mail forwarded some how ?

  2. I was a little worried that without Candice your videos may lose a little something, but you didn't miss a beat.. Nice job. Looking forward to continuing the journey with you! Sail on Bro.

  3. Having done numerous single handed deliveries up and down the ICW and beyond, I've got my cockpit supplies down pat. Two handheld VHF's, one below in the charger and one up top. Waterproof plastic box lives in the cockpit with kindle, snacks, water jugs, sunblock and waterway guide. Hat and long sleeve shirts come on before heading out. Cushions and pillows to make a variety of different comfortable positions. And, something everybody needs but hates, a porta potti. The ICW is just too tight to trust the autopilot while you run below for a piss, and nothing spells man overboard better than pissing over the rail.

  4. Hey man, I'm glad to see that you're continuing on with your journey. I've been following your adventures and I've learned a lot about cruising from the channel. Hopefully one day I'll be able to do the same thing. For now it's just a fantasy. Fair winds and following seas, sailor.

  5. Hello Tim, great job at solo travel! Glad you are going to keep going but you certainly ought to point your bow to the south. I think you worry too much about the summer storms. I live at Vero Beach and am familiar with hurricanes. Most of them would be no problem for you as you are living aboard. Most of the damaged boats that those storms rack up are due to people leaving their boats unattended and concentrating on their houses. There are plenty of places along the Florida coast that you could tie up out of the wind and ride out the storms. Another point is if you look at the history of those storms, they rarely effect the Keys…they had a hit last year but there were many years since they have had a really big hit…1935 when Flaglers railroad was washed away, I think was the time span and that's a pretty good many years. I lived down there for fifteen years and we weren't affected beyond preparing for them if they came our way.  If you are in an area where you get hit by a storm, it wouldn't be that bad because you are pretty much self contained with water, fuel, food, electricity.   Find yourself an area of the Keys that you like, the people are second to none, and just watch the weather and enjoy the Bahamas-like water and activities. If a storm looks like its going to hit, most folks, the commercial ones anyway, move their boats up to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale where there are facilities to house those boats. You and Lady K would do fine ducking into the mangroves and staying aboard.

  6. Great video! Keep busy, you will get through it. Be brave, stay strong. We are from London ontario! We are rooting for you! My husband and I want to do the same in a few years. Want to teach us the ropes? Haha

  7. I can't believe she took the pots and pans with her!!! I started watching your videos a year after you left SWO and am catching up to you. I'm really enjoying you adventures and learning a lot. Keep on sailing Tim!!!

  8. I know you two are back together , but just remember that most women are fickle , one minute there down , the next you're a clown, something or somebody triggers their imagination .stay safe on your next adventures .

  9. I met that manatee while I staged my boat there waiting to haul out at the yard next door, which never came, so I moved the boat north to Palm Coast. Titusville marina is terrible, and in hindsight I should have gone to their mooring ball field, thogh they charged $5 a day for dinghy dock. But watching the rockets launch and that fresh water drinking manatees was fun. Anchoring on that area of the ICW is very trcky. On my trip I had a small cooler to avoid leaving the helm. Thanks to you, I got the bug for Navionics.

  10. Discovering your older vids. I got to know you from your review of various makes and models. Better with someone you like to share experiences with, but solo sailing is a gas!!

  11. Ok, my research bit is over. It's years ago now. Piecing things together, no Facebook etc cheating, I think I found the key in E60. In E79, there was talk of wandering eyes [you did have shades!] In fact, it seemed the complaint was somewhat – restrained, using cut shots? Then the live stream & I remembered – the bikini party you mentioned at the end of E60! That will be what history remembers as a tipping point. Now that facts aren't real, denying this was a tipping point will only strengthen my, essentially clueless, theory. Quod erat demonstrandum m8.

  12. You put on a very brave face & soldiered on. Seeing your lovely daughter now makes sense. Plus the drive with your son. A lot of good came of the Lady K project, it seems. It's part of your life now that random people [like me!] get interested in you, I hope you aren't personally offended by my "research", it was well meant.🦘
