Ep090 Essential Yacht Repairs - Trailer Sailor - Life On The Hulls - Catamaran Build Project

1. Ross, I was hoping you were going to show how you fixed the small pinhole. I have a few of those on a boat I am working on now. Care you share what you did?

  2. Hello Ross, my method of cleaning metal easy is soak it in Citric Acid and watch the metal come back to life Plus it clears away any Lime Scale and look like new CITRIC ACID & HOT WATER AND WATCH IT BUBBLE

  3. Another great video Rossco. What size Sonata is that?? I had a Sonata 7 back in the early 80's. I too had the same issue as you with the winch cable breaking etc. Was a pain in the butt to fix but virtually did what you've done and had no issues after that. They're a lovely boat and we had some great times/holidays on it. I also had a cover for the lift up roof made it heaps better as you could leave the roof up all the time and not worry about weather etc. They're a great boat for learning on that's for sure.

  4. Great Video, if you weren’t fixing the boats you would be fixing the house or the workshop. Always something to occupy your idle time.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

  5. Ross. Stop pissing around and get the cat built. You have seen before that your views go down when you go off topic. We will all be too old to see the final product at this pace.
Sometimes we all need a bit of tuff love.

  6. You know that a proper boat building youtuber would have dragged all of those projects out over 7 videos, but you just banged them all out… on a "side project" 🤣 You mad Aussie!

  7. Lock a long bolt through the pulley center, then mount it in a drill chuck and spin it up. You can use files and sandpaper to polish the sides and groove easy peasy…A cut down SS 'shoulder bolt' will give you a nice bearing surface and some threads for a locking nut.

  8. Nice Vlog Mate ,You need to get that Dingy ready to take you to the Big boat when it finished 🙂 Just hope you don't have any Holes in the Big One lol hahahaha 🙂

  9. I agree with you on plywood on boats, I think it should be outlawed. Today there is so many options that don't rot or hold water. have a great week Ross
