  1. Really enjoying your videos :). I am curious about one thing, can you tell me how far you can go on a tank full of fuel in your sailboat?

  2. Kittiwake was $12000? Wow, prices in England are insane! In the U.S. at least in the South, Kittiwake would have been $3000-$5000. In the U.S., $12000 would have bought you a decent seaworthy monohull around 35 feet with sails and working engine! Catamarans are a bit more scarce, but not much more expensive. Here are some current listings for the Texas gulf coast: https://www.popyachts.com/sloop-sailboats-for-sale/bristol-30-in-clear-lake-shores-texas-175208 , https://houston.craigslist.org/boa/d/seabrook-endevour-33/7052535095.html

  3. Not sure if you will get this message. I have a question. I’ve been looking at some steel hulled boats. My idea is to buy a steel boat. And I have a nice generator welder I want to stow away on the right boat. My question is as a tig welder for my income. Do you think there would be any work opportunity for a guy as myself to weld stainless railings or repair them as a form of income. Have you seen anyone out there looking for that? Aluminum. Stainless or steel repairs on vessels? Thank you for all your amazing videoes. There so seriously relaxing to me. I bing watch them!

  4. Good points were made about keeping the points of the hooks on your fishing lure razor sharp. I sharpen mine after each time a fish strikes AND just like you I lose 'em every now and then :-(. If you got the time, and the bucks, maybe buy hooks with a longer shaft, just to ensure the barbed portion goes through the lip. Lovin' your vlogs, you two sure have your *&&) together, Stay safe.

  5. I enjoy your videos very much. I especially like the honest, down to earth and wholesome feeling you guys emanate. Thank you for sharing.

  6. Sail on up the Puget sound America (I know not the dreamiest) you inspire me to find another whos passions shared would be a dream I miss my boat I'm ready to come back and float thanks for the inspiration

  7. I'd love to buy a boat and just sail :S just don't have any money lol. I'm good at DIY tho so maybe 1 day ill buy a scrap boat and do it up. We will see.

  8. Seems that fish knew exactly what he was doing. Random back-flip and lo and behold he's free! Clever wee bugger. Incredible content of your time in Greece, absolutely beautiful and although not a sailor you have least made me appreciate why cruisers love it so much! LOL, you are quite young do you ever fear life may not get better?

  9. Always enjoy your videos. Just a question, if I may. I want to buy a offshore/blue water sailboat (32-36ft). I have a budget of $ 30k and want to ask you where (worldwide) is the best place to buy a value for money boat? Of course, the value for money would include economical haul out, access to spares & maintenance materials and convivial weather. So far I've had a mix of Panama, Croatia, New Zealand & Lankawi. Thank you in advance for your insight.

  10. No complaint, but I can understand very little of your speaking accent, I will leave my participation to some fellow pommy. Happy sailing.

  11. That big superyacht in the background probably burns in an hour sitting idle what you burn in a month.

  12. HI, you charming pair ,watched your problems with the engine ,please add some rust inhibitor or anti freeze to the closed Volvo water system .in Greece they can fix any thing, and even weld two halves of a car together. We use to go to Igoumenitsa A LOT ON THE FERRIES EXPORTING PEACHES,( and the first time I had a police man pull a gun on me, he spoke very little English and myself no Greek, the hotel by the ferry terminal was complaining of the noise from our 26 pallet fridge box engine, was ,I say was making to much noise, I turned the engine off and he put his gun away and shaking hands,) FROM MASERDONIA in the north after dropping off frozen Kraft products and Maxwell house coffee in Athens ,we have even taken choc ices from the UK to Athens and loaded Greek ice cream back,FOOD WRAPPING TO THESSALONIKI and grapes and melons back to the UK .REALLY loved it out there the people, sun and sea what more could you ask for? NO GERMANS and the Greeks did not like them, only their money ,WW 11, I think ? I now know I have spent to much time housing couches for others , I blame sailing uma .Whilst waiting for the pound £ to devalue against usd $ on the foreign exchange to make my mind up to buy one and sell the other ,to much time on my hands and to many computers to play with and on Sunday, while watching your video . ON E BAY FOUND A STEEL YACHT for sale in GREECE ,food for thought? REBECCA I shout have a look at this ,being my daughter who is trying to captain a paddle board in her spare time she ask,s do you think the suns out there ,Nicky comes in ,what have you two found now ,It,s pouring with rain here blowing a gale , nick,s first words CHRIST ropes and fenders again ! What size engine has it got? ,only 65 hp I reply the sails do most of the work cheap to run ,as nick leaves the room only to be heard muttering bloody sails what do I know about sails ,I reply well you could learn ,in the distance through the squeak of the ironing board comes a reply Iv,e learnt to live with you all this time ( thirty five years) and your boats ( ,only five I reply and you got to choose the fender this time ,as I call it. Yellow bird is a 28 foot scorpion rib so nick can bounce of most things on our way across the Solent to the I. O. W . into Yarmouth buy her a fresh crab sandwich and off we go for another fine day ,oh what she will put up with for a crab sandwich ,must try wrapping it in sail cloth ,might call it food for thought in the future, thank you for the videos ,true down to earth, enjoy your selves , and dump the ironing board on your adventure ttfn

  13. Thanks for posting very enjoyable video , that anchorage in the bay was fabulous, safe sailing both

  14. Do you think a depth sounder is necessary for open ended cruising?

I feel like they are unreliable and a sinking risk if they are the through-hull variety. They also don't do much good if you're headed into a too-shallow area as you'll know the depth when you run aground.

Seems like being aware of position and cautious is better but I'm relatively inexperienced. I did run aground once with a functioning depth sounder so…

  15. Nice fish! I think a rod and reel would have held your catch, in my experience. Not the easiest thing to store when short of space though. However, big fish means big savings on food costs. Better luck next time!

  16. Hi Guys, I am your new fan from Asia! When you mentioned work while sailing, Do you meant working offline and than once you have Wifi access you uploaded them? I am not sure on internet connection while at sea.
