1. WTF?… as the crew of the freighter realizes that there is a tiny sailboat ahead of them???
"Epic"… as the saga of "Erik" the last true viking continues…

  2. Good day Erik Aanderaa.
    My name is Anselmo Oliveira.

    My suggestion!

On the hand pump, with an adaptor, reduce it to a flexible 3/4 hose, like a vacuum and this momentary situation is calmer, right?

  3. I live in the caribbean, I have had many boats in the netherlands but I never met someone like you. I hope we will sail out together someday. Great movie. God luck, amazing job

  4. Well done Erik! Eisenhower, the Allied Commander during WWII, wrote, Evaluate a man's character when things are going poorly – not when everything is going well, for it's easy when everything is going well. . . . You had rough seas almost the entire passage, you were taking on water, carried off course, spilled your damn dinner, etc, but you didn't panic and you maintained a generally positive attitude. Again, well done. If faced with similar circumstances, I hope that I can emulate your character.

  5. Thank you Erik for the adventures esp for this Vikling celebration trip
I am 85 living in USA. I am in my basement watching you with Youtube . Greetings from Indianapolis, Indiana USA. What a great experiences you provide.

  6. There is one lake in Macedonia 🇲🇰 it's call ohrid lake sometimes waves can be 11 meters so I know how he feels I done it many times

  7. Erik would you ever consider taking a passenger(paying or sponsored) that just want to learn everything they can and does far better with practical than theory. Please 😌

  8. take a calculated risk, set your course and go . . . better words never spoken, thanks for sharing your adventures!

  9. I’ll be your competent crew anytime!
Oh, and shout out to the flex seal guy, you just know he’s screaming at his screen when you talk about water ingress at the anchor hole!!

  10. Amazing!! Great spirit! Have you thought about wearing a climbing helmet when you leave the cockpit? One slip! Lying unconscious on the fore-deck in waves like that could do a lot of damage to the old noggin. Even with the harness. This is coming from someone who's never stepped foot on a sailboat. 🙂

  11. With water coming in through the anchor chain hole, I thought maybe a battery operated shop vacuum might help you with the water coming into the boat

  12. I think you need to wear a safety lanyard on deck, get all you electrics higher in the ship, and get a portable bilge that you can drop into any compartment.

  13. I’ve never been on a yacht and grew up about 500kms from the coast on the edge of a desert in Western Australia but I love this channel and your videos mate. You are living your dream well done to you sir.

  14. ..Eric The Viking…

Wow sailing old sea dogs nightmare…while suffering illness..

Respect but pity about the bagpipes haha

  15. That is some chunky sea. I've only ever night sailed once and it was utterly exhausting. No horizon to see in pitch dark either brought on sea sickness. These boys and girls who do this are built of strong stuff.

  16. As an offshore commercial trawlermen of 25plus years in the waters off georgers bank in the north Atlantic.i have the highest respect for what your are doing when i saw the winds come up to a gale i knew you and your little boat where in for it

  17. I don't know what's going on with you Erik, you're deleting my comments every time I redo them. But I wish with all my heart that he is well, recovering, getting stronger, because he is more than a great sailor, he is more than a navigator, he is a true captain, and as such a conqueror, he knows how to break boundaries with his courage and joy , and that's why it's an inspiration. I don't know why someone wants to make me sad, but I want you to know that I'm rooting for you always, and that I'm with you in your project for whatever comes. But I don't know if it's you who is taking care of your account, or someone who doesn't want me to watch your videos anymore, and even if I comment, and certainly contribute to your channel too. I'm sorry for anything I may have said that you didn't like. I wish that your Light is your north always, and that you keep your confidence in your process. Forgive me for something that displeased you.❤🙌⭐👊🌊
