Ne-am întors! Crossing BASS STRAIT - Free Range Sailing Ep. 124

1. Great to see you both again, we've missed you. New FRS opening roll edit masterfully put together. Way to kick off your homecoming with a nice sailing sequence to Babel. Amazing two days, looking forward to the island visit. Thank you for keeping us socially connected while we physically distance during these changing times.

  2. We’re using WhatsApp video to keep in touch with our children (mothers and fathers of our grandchildren!). One of them lives less than a mile away, but we can’t go there! You do get tossed around a lot in that little boat! I guess you’re using a gimbal. I have an Osmo pocket with a built-in gimbal. Tiny camera, but very easy to drop, not recommended on a boat!

  3. Good to have you guys back. So many sailing channels are about personality, you guys keep it aboout sailing. Good on you.

  4. Well that was an adventure. Nice winds there for a bit. Yes the virus has kinda turned the world upside down. Canada doe have some horror stories but USA has more.
5000 people dead in NY State in just a week ! Unreal.
Young husband in my area age 47 has wife & 4 yr old daughter.
He got fever so he self isolated himself. Within 3 days he was dead !
Yous look refreshed. Happy Easter 2020.
Think yous have that limbless evangelist living in Austrailia a Nick Vujicic.
    Stay safe God bless

  5. Thanks for the post. I am super grateful to live-a-board my sloop as it is one of the few ways I can 'social distance' and enjoy what I love. I am happy to be exploring the Puget Sound here in North America/Canada but that footage of Tasmania was amazing! Oh, thanks for the tip on dragging the halyard while reefing, I will try this.

  6. Glad my old sailing grounds treated you well. Good luck hunting for metho. Just a tip. Go to a store and ask if they have a cold one.

  7. Can you send me more detailed information on which spinning and deep sea reels your using please? I know they are Shimano but did not catch the name for the reel or item #. If you could let me know it would be much appreciated! Loving the videos and learning a lot. I'm in the states and my SV is in Panama – can't get to it so watching you guys is the next best thing. John

  8. Stay safe and keep on having fun adventures. We will get through this. Perhaps not without some serious sacrifice, but in the end things will carry on. Thanks for the video.

  9. Really enjoy watching your vids as I work away in the office. I always dreamed of buying a 30 Ft + sailboat and living your life, but my life got in the way. Now at 69 with a pacemaker, I have the $ to buy a sailboat, but I just couldnt do it physically. I now live vicariously through you two. I prefer your vids over the others, because your video's make me feel the most like I am there, your "go cam" sways to neutral as the boat pitches back & forth and I almost feel like I am sailing with you. I dont watch the click bait sailing vids , and the others dont have your signature. Thanks for posting your life ongoing.

  10. I skipped a few episodes, and see you are hitting bass straight with your jury rigged boom. Could you not find or afford a replacement?

  11. I'm sure it's more than 3 months after you made this video that I'm seeing it but I hope that you are both well and your families are too! And, that you are finding more of the fuel that you need for your stove! and, maybe a stupid question! but have you ever considered a solar shower bag? I don't know if there isa drain in the floor of your head? I will not be offended if you don't answer my question 😉 I'm not surprised if it's been asked and answered many times before and some of your Q&A's! P.s. great sailing video, thx !😊🤙

  12. I had to laugh when you mentioned the gannets fancying your lure. I’ve never had much luck fishing but one of the first things I caught when dragging a lure was a seagull. Like flying a kite off the back of the boat. When the boat speed picked up one of its wings would fold under the stress and it would pirouette down and then fly back up when the speed decreased, the seagull repeated this several times until It finally let go or became unhooked. Poor thing ! Great videos. Keep up the good work.

  13. How do i put this? I am new to the channel, love it. But it will be years before i can become a patreon, unemployed, thanks covid!..love it, binge watched 120 episodes, lol. So i sent a message to vegemite, i notice they eat promite, yuck! lol, I am trying to think of 50 companies to support these guys and get some serious sponsors! Come on guys, this is an awesome YouTube channel! We can support then!
