    That can be the only reason I can think of. Every time the IRS calls me, I tell them my fishing boat has four bedrooms sixteen baths and I net them with 6 skidoos and a submarine.

12. I’m so glad our environment has people and organizations that truly care about it. The president here (note I didn’t say “my” President) has been an absolute catastrophe when it comes to environmental issue (along with every other issue one can think of). While I am thoroughly embarrassed that the USA has gone backwards by decades, I am comforted that the rest of the world is still moving forward.

13. Epic introduction, but as a Norwegian I might add that the most impressive and beautiful parts of our contry are not included in the video. You need to visit Norway by boat! As a matter of fact Norway was probably the first superyacht cruising destination in the world. Members of the British aristocracy and high society People actually kicked off the tourist business in Norway arround 1860. Keiser Wilhelm II visited the Norwegian Fjords With his impressive luxury yacht «Hohenzollern» no less than 23 times. First time was in 1894! Norway is rediscowered these days as one of the most attractive cruising destinations, but this is not a good Place for a Mediterranian gin slinger Palace attitude type of vessel. If we include the islands, Norways coastline cowers a distance of approximately 100 915 Kilometers (second longest in the world). Even if you plan to visit one of Norways 1732 fjords, most of our coastline is facing the North Atlantic. You should be prepared for rough conditions. A well designed Explorer yacht is the way to go!

With the way that the mega yacht is presented and visually shown as being under construction and along with your music and mystiflying tone of voice, comes together with such an intensity as in curiosity into what this vessel is bound to be and the massive journeys it's bound to take on. 30. Absolutely awesome. I wish more super wealthy would do ships like this. I'm an avid documentary watcher especially when it comes to the oceans. Jacques Cousteau was big in my house and I hope ships like this will make more researchers just like him.

31. I would love to see ship tours and interviews with the crew on research ships like this in the future. I really do like some of the research ships out there just as much as the Superyachts. Be an interesting mix on the channel. Well. When the world is done ending that is. Love the channels.

36. The cynic in me is saying this is just another wealthy man trying to green-wash his vanity yacht. There's no need to build the world's largest mega-yacht for "scientifical purposes" and he openly admits it will be his leisure yacht when not used for "luxury chartering or science". It feels incredibly naive to just broadcast his PR about this being a yacht for the sake of the environment.

    "But why would he lie, he doesn't have to care, he can just build a yacht if he wants one"? Because he cares about his legacy and he knows building the world's largest vanity yacht would be extremely frowned upon in his homeland where the environmental movement is strong. So you build a couple of labs. Dedicate a portion of it to "science" and you get videos like these praising his environmental destroying project as something green.

45. Would be interesting to have your definition of the terms "yacht, boat, ship etc. I always understood a boat could be put "on" a ship but a ship could not be put on a boat?

49. You could buy one of those cruise ships for the price of its scrap metal. In a historical perspective, in the 17th century you had places like Versailles, Schonbrunn and Caserta and soon after there was a major reset of economic and political life.
