  1. I watcher the entire video, beginning to end! What a beautiful greeting you received at home! Thank you for passing on to us all that you learned.

  2. regarding the bluetooth issue (for the future), rename the file to a different ending, send the file over and rename back should work if the "file type" is indeed the issue

  3. hi i was in st martin until june then singlehanded to the uk. i was trapped in the lagoon without an engine. had to get a tow out when the authorities allowed us to leave.

  4. Thank you for sharing.

This was absolutely fascinating & exciting to watch. thoroughly enjoyed every moment of your journey. Happy to see you made it home safely & without injury. One of the best single handed trips I have ever watched. Bravo!

  5. Terrific seamanship on a challenging trip. I can't park my boat as well as you seemed to manage to do in Ostend when I have everything working. A really great watch, thank you Mads.

  6. Loved the video. Loved being your shipmate haha. Can I ask something you don't get asked too often?
How do you keep your spectacles on in the sea? I wear glasses and always fear I'll lose them at the sea and won't be able to see anything.

  7. Awesome to see open ocean shots as well as a glimpse into the the changes in weather and directions of travel. What an experience. If you don’t mind, what type of yacht, she is very nice!!

  8. Thank you Mads ! Really enjoyed watching your trip on Kaka!
Seeing you manage a swan 43 single handed is inspiring…most single handed trips are often in smaller ( more manageable (?) boats )

  9. I have in the past on older boats that ive owend, set up an double boom vang, one side acts as an preventor and the other side acts as the trim. perfect for singlehanded sailing as they can be used from the cockpit.
    Gerard. Qld Australia.

  10. I enjoyed your video and your understated, laid back and somewhat cerebral delivery. Your voyage had a little bit of everything it seems. I enjoyed your little exposition on risk management while sailing. You did a great job narrating the story … and it was an exciting one.

  11. I really enjoyed this vlog…in the States, we refer to the commentary as ‘home spun’…meaning no frills, just talk and no baloney showmanship…as seen in so many of these vlogs from sailors…Anyway, I hope you will do more of these….

  12. A pleasant soul, a challenging voyage and a welcoming family all make for an enjoyable and enlightening video. Thank you

  13. You may need to disable any anti-virus software you're running and also windows defender to allow .grb file transfers 🙂

  14. From around 33 – 35 minute mark, your description is so genuine and appreciative, I wish to be in the similar situation when I take my trip. Nicely done.

  15. It is really natural, good video with a lot of lessons..As I am planning to cross the Atlantic from west to east ; it was very helpful to see your video.Thanks.
