  1. Thanks for watching! We're getting close to 20k subscribers and 100 patrons. To celebrate that I'll do a quick Q&A video where we'll try to answer all your questions. Yep, Sohvi might answer a few as well! If you have any questions about anything then please comment down below and we'll do our best to answer as many of them as possible. Please leave your questions as separate comments so that they're easier for me to track! Thanks! (Hopefully we get some questions to begin with 😅).

  2. Another great video and even a motor repair to boot. I also snowboard but not back country and not while sailing. I was wondering the ratio of climbing time to skiing/snowboarding downhill time in your adventures. The effort/reward ratio? We run ethanol free gas( available at marinas in Canada) in all our small engines but when not available we always use a fuel treatment like "Sea Foam" to avoid the "poop" build up and long rows. I was also wondering if you could put the actual rough date of the video so we have an idea of the seasonal transitions since I think the posted video date is some time after the actual recording date. Thanks and keep up the great work!

  3. When I see you skiing, I always start thinking about avalanches. Is it rare to trigger avalanche there? Do you have some rescue equipment with you? Take care!

  4. Hey, I have a hint for you concerning the sealing o-ring: the sealing material usually grows/extends in size, when exposed to gas. This way it really seals well. Once you deconstruct a carburator, these seals are full of gas and thus too big. If you now hold them for a few seconds pretty close to something hot (10 years ago I would have recommended to put it on a classic 25-40 Watt light bulb for 5-15 sec), then the gas will be pushed out, which makes the seal shrink again. Maybe the surface of a warm pan would do, as long as it is not too hot. Of course the rubber must not get damaged from the heat. However, check it out, it just works, I had to learn about this trick as well, when I was working on my motorcycle.
    Have fun, you two 😊!

  5. Wow! What a gorgeous environment! And so interesting to see what remarkably different lives people live scattered all over this planet. Thanks for sharing…and continued safe passages!!!!

  6. Really enjoying experiencing your channel. Regarding the 'o' ring – what happens is the rubber reacts to fuel and air environment. It expands for a while, then if you wash it in water, then let it rest, in a while (if you have time ie- over night etc) the rubber contracts and the ring then fits. Hope this helps you in the future.

  7. Hey I have been to northern norway for quite some time and a place i really reccomend to you is Porsangerfjorden , there are some nice places like Olderfjord or Brenna Börselve and Lakselve as the biggest place at the fjord, there is also the most norhern pine forest in the stabursnes nasjonalparken (hope i got it right Xd ) would be nice to see a video about this area it is really beautyfull.
    Fair winds

  8. Hei Juho,
love your videos and glad to see there are so many helpful comments regarding that expanded o-ring 🙂 I am cruious, what is your safety protocol in terms of being often alone out there in a part of the world where the affordable margin of error is reaallly small? Have you done some land/sea/trundra-specific survival training? I dunno, perhaps Finnish people grow up with that so it's second nature for you and Sohvi? 😅
And have you had any close calls so far where you didn't feel comfortable with the way things were going? Any learnings from that?
Oh, and how do you pass the time if you're not working, out skiing, and the boat is fine?

  9. How long does it take to hike up the mountain compared with how long to ski down? Do you ever go up more than once for multiple runs?

  10. JUST SUBSCRIBED 🌞 Looking forward to the adventure. Do you know of Sailing Uma? They are up there in Norway and would be cool if you met them🌏🐻🇨🇦

  11. Just wondering, not trying to be offensive, but why do you eat such shit food while out and about??? I would think your body needs better nourishment with all that climbing, and Oreo's isn't going to do it. Just saying…

  12. Hello to you two, your videos are very original and I like to see these paysage that you show us. I am from Canada and when I travel north for work I have noticed that the renne you call but here we are using (Caribou) have diminished a lot. Have you noticed a decrease in herds? Thank you for the answer and also for your video.

  13. Thank you for all this adventure of the Nordic Seas. I am Scandinavian by my DNA and trace of my ancestors. I have always been proud of my heritage. I have sailed when I lived in Southern California (San Diego & Long Beach) short hops to Catalina Islands and sometimes South into Mexican waters. But my dream is to Sail from Maine to Norway. I need information on a route and best times to start a voyage like that.

  14. I have enjoyed your channel very much. It is such a different & wonderful world you bring to us. Climbing & skiing down mountains, living on & sailing in cold climates is a very difficult task that few people are capable of. Cheers!

  15. I went Cross County skiing for the LAST time alone in the Blue Lakes area near Lake Tahoe. I go out prepared – food, water, spare shirt and socks, hand warmer, a space blanket, Map and a Compass. I was not prepared for the RAPID change in weather that found me 11K from my partner and the car. I had to cut trail over a mountain to shorten the return trip. I was just learning to Telemark and wasn't very good. When I arrived 2 1/2 hours late I was met by my partner and two Rangers/Ski Patrol who were prepping to search… I never go out alone any more…

  16. Your content is getting shorter. I think you are a grifter. It is a great way of earning money for doing your own thing, without doing any work, except a little bit of video every now and then… If we all did what you did the world would be bad, Get a proper job and stop conning people, pretending to work…
