  1. I can’t believe this part of the journey is going to end.
It’s been wonderful arm chair sailing along with you watching the growth between you.
Sometimes stormy weather on the boat, but you sailed through those times. Great job.
Pop back on with updates now and then. Fair winds. Dave

  2. Loved watching you guys and we were bummed you moved back home right around the time we finally got our boat! But we are in the PNW (Campbell River) if you ever make it back out this way and need a boat to hang out on for a bit! haha

  3. Wow, sad to see this end. My friend Ken will be sad your gone. He's in La Paz. Love you roasting coffee. I've always wanted to be able to do that but in the states they want a ton for unroasted beans. What would you add to your editing/and whatever (internet?) set up to make it faster to do the YouTube videos ? The advise re crewing is very much something I've thought about. I'd put my house up for sale and immediately get on a boat to make sure I want to sell it, or something like that. Oh, and the question, who has been here since the beginning. I subscribe to a TON of sailing channels, organize the videos from everyone in playlists, talk to everyone, comment to everyone, and LIKE everyone. That said, YouTube pulled a fast one. They changed the bell system, without really saying a word to anyone. AND, no one mentions it on thier vids when they ask you to Subscribe. It has three different bells now. One says All, one says Pesonalized (whatever that means) and one says None. All of my channels reverted/defaulted to "personalized" and I get very few heads up notifications when it says that. Yours said personalized and this vid was the only one I've gotten a heads up on since I subscribed quite a while ago. OK, back to that question, speeding up the Youtube video editing ect situation ? What would you do ?

  4. Thanks for sharing your adventures! You explored by sea at a time in life that allowed it. Before kids and careers made it impossible until retirement. Bravo! Perhaps in 30 years you’ll do it again. Best to you and again, thanks for sharing!

  5. You are an inspiration. Love that you adventured forth, cast off your bow and stern lines from the safety of the dock and set your course for somewhere over the horizon. So many today are afraid to venture into new territory. You are not, were not, when you bought your boat and decided to do something different for a while. Great job. You are an inspiration. Take great satisfaction in what you have done. Congratulations. Now on to the next adventure. God speed.

  6. Hey Waldes, I hope your life post-sailing is going well. You know, I can't think of any sailing channel that has done an episode on their life after going ashore again. I'd be very interested in seeing (or reading) about your new life. We came ashore once the pandemic started and it would be nice to hear from others about how they are coping with the transition. All the best!

  7. Hi. I was from the beginnining there to. Used to live on Vancouver Island and prepare for the past 4 years mysailboat, to sail from spain to Vancouver. Blastet Corona killed my start. I should be able to cast my lines in 4 weeks. My joyrney beginns, your ends. Changes are upon us all with what the Governments try to oush down on us. I still believe, a sailboat is the best place to be. I wish you all the best for your future

  8. I was with you from the beginning. Indeed, when you were down, I suggested you hang in there and you did. In Episode 23 you spoke of the weather, rain, cold, snow in Winter in the Pacific Northwest. What was your home port then? Is there anywhere in the PNW that has milder Winters? The San Juan Islands? Vancouver Island?

  9. After seeing your interview on Castanet, I started watching your videos. I ended up binge watching the whole series…lol Great stuff! I was thoroughly entertained. So real and so adventurous. Loved it! Thanks.

  10. I'm late to the party. I just started watching about 5 days ago and have binged until Ep. 105… will finish tomorrow. I was SOOOOO disappointed when I saw back about 20 episodes ago that you were hanging up your oars. I wish I had been watching while you were doing it so I could have contributed support. Your channel was recommended to me by a friend and I knew I was going to like you guys 2 minutes into the first episode. I haven't read all of the comments, but tried to find an answer to what you are going to do now and found none. So I know this is a really personal question and if you wanted us to know you probably would have told us, but can you share what your future plans are? Are you back to running the Factory? Are you back in Canada? How are you handling your first winter back up there now that you've tasted the warmth of California and Mexico? You were one of my favorite sailing channels. Understandable but so sad you are no longer sailing. After sharing the last 2 years with you, it's obvious you will succeed at WHATEVER you do. God bless. So happy to have shared your adventure.

  11. Would you do it again if you had your time over, why did you stop? If you had a newer bigger boat like a nice catamaran would it have been different?

  12. Just discovered your YouTube channel… good sailing channels are few and far between… to bad this was the last one. I hope you'll find time for another adventure to share in the future. Best regards from Jarle….. that took less than 3 months… going to miss this channel. Thanks for shearing.

  13. Just popped in to tell you I saw a guy in our sail fleet wearing one of your t-shirts and had a moment with him "I know who they are!"
Hope the two of you are well. If you are ever down in Puget Sound btwn March-late September, hit up the Oak Harbor YC sail fleet on Thursday night for some keel boat racing. 😉 I know at least two boats who would love to have you aboard.
