1. Im Dutch. This boat is not an normal boat..its realy an piece of art. Even if I could affort it I dont want to own it. Its just to beautiful to live in it or just use it. It would posseses the owner intead of the other way around. Long story short..she's way out of my league.. thanks for sharing this.

  2. Thank you for walk around, explaining everything. Those side mounted center board stabilizer are A+ in my Humble opinion. The large davit Hydraulic boom, with a boom extension is amazing and strong, Such power lift for like you said that great Boston whaler. It was My first boat, a 17 foot with the neat mohogany wood facing forward window's. That tells me the owner knows a great ship to shore support craft. The woodwork of the fish, and the Fact that the woodwork had new varnish on it shows care and the continued painting to keep that woodworking bright. Those Fish what a great thing to look at in the wood. I love it and you just started. Thank you so,so much for being able to go on her, and show all us lovers of those grand vessels, that we can see it, doing excellent job of explaining everything. The main sail boom fold down all I can say is WOW.

  3. I'm going to comment on the bow and stern thrusters. With the side mounted keel stabilizer in up position. You could go into shallower harbor. With stability in up position. And have completely control for docking. A regular sailing boat with large center keel, have watched sail boats come in with small outboard, and the large keel keeps them going in straight line. With the two thrusters it's like having a tug boat helping you dock. For someone who doesn't have lots of them time on docking( currents and wind) taking control of suck a large vessel. Those thrusters make any helmsman look like a PRO. That is a wonderful add on.

  4. Like the two beds in owners cabin instead of one Large berth. The full use of BEAM in sailboat is what I like about there layout below deak.

  5. The table in Lounge with chess built in. WOW never seen that in preview of super size vessels
Such a wonderful built into table. YES sitting in snug harbor playing like you said. Such relaxing game time.

  6. That take out roofing for Engine removal. You just don't see that in modern vessels. Very excellent design feature. Well though out for maintenance.

  7. Like you said that Galley is NOT a galley it's a modern kitchen with Redundant appliance. That kitchen is BIGGER than my kitchen at home. The main table without a back rest on main walk area, that is another A+ for walking plus you can sit the other way.

  8. Sorry for all the comments, you two Rock I guess I'm amazed at birth of keel lay down. My year of birth. Again Thanks for your tour of her.

  9. I'm not going to lie I think it's an ugly design and an ugly boat. Yes, it has nice trim and interior, but it's not much to look at otherwise. personal opinion fueled by my own personal bias so take what I say with a grain of salt. I just can't believe that there are this many people in the comments section who actually like the look and design of this vessel so I thought I would actually post my honest opinion and see how many people think the same.

  10. As a sailor, I don't get why there are so many heavy wood art pieces. It doesn't make sense to me at all. It must take a lot of fuel to move this thing.

  11. I think there is not a lot of it still original. These boats were working boats made for instance transporting things. The mast can go down so they can go under the many bridges we have in the Netherlands. They were flat bottomed to be able to sail on swallow rivers and to be able to "park" the boat if the Waddenzee level got to low or dry due to the tides. They are made in many flavours and sizes. From very small and no cabin upto big ones like this. I once sailed on an original on sea. They are a bit spartan inside and it is hard work to sail them but it was great fun.

  12. That bar on the forward side of the mast really did not look like a pivot point. Maybe it is, but it didn’t look like the mast could pivot on that bar…And I don’t think there was just a boom under that sail cover; seems there was a gaff also. Gaff-rigged boats have short masts.

  13. Dude! No disrespect, but your wife is in the wrong job. There's nothing worse than someone who knows less than nothing about boats, telling you about boats!

  14. NOT ENOUGH practicality & too much Luxury– for example there is no place for the Captain's Quarters- unless the owner is a qualified Pilot a boat this size needs a Captain!!! And no quarters for the guests- nice quarters for the Chief Mechanic & Cook & other crew-

  15. This boat is clearly for calmer sailing for taking it easy, but I wonder if it would fare easily from Portsmouth to Lisbon, or at the very least Bilbao. This boat is the epitome of calling it home. Cozy and invinting.

  16. Interesting leeboards – as mentioned, rare – but something not completely uncommon for vessels purposed mostly for Black Sea sailing – or, I suppose – the Caspian.
