În acest episod din WE|Sail, suntem liniștiți câteva zile în mijlocul Pacificului, pe drumul din Costa Rica către Mexic, fără vânt care să ne ducă nicăieri. Ne așteptam să avem câteva zile fără vânt pe parcursul întregului nostru pasaj și, sincer, nu eram prea siguri câte zile în plus avea să se adauge la întreaga călătorie. Totuși, nu ne-a deranjat. Mările calme și liniștite, aflate la aproape 500 de mile de țărm, erau senine și distractive pentru a spune cel puțin! Ceea ce nu este ceva la care te-ai aștepta să auzi, dar ne-a plăcut foarte mult să stăm în mijlocul oceanului, cât de calm ar putea fi, fără pământ, barcă sau om care să fie văzut zile întregi. Oceanul era sticlos și neted, încât uneori nu puteam spune unde se întâlnea marea cu orizontul. Am avut vizitatori frecventi de la țestoase și delfini, ținându-ne ocupați pe măsură ce timpul trecea încet. Nu ne-am simțit niciodată mai liniștiți decât ne-am simțit în mijlocul oceanului.
