Why the plastic? It would be so much better with just the wood dial, which is very cool. But the plastic! I think I tasted a little vomit in my throat when I saw this.
Plastic is no different than "vegan leather", which used to be called nauhahyde…aka plastic. Trying to dress it up by calling it anything other than plastic is doing the same.
Briston really think to sell a watch with wood dial? Their thin tank must be ahead of a thousands years when trees will be made of recycled cork.
I think this looks fantastic, but Is toooooooo expensive. A Christopher Ward Sapphire is available with a discount, and makes this poor value. Nice piece though.
You've inspired me. I have heaps of old sunglasses and corks lying around and can buy an NH35 movement for $40. I've decided to build my own watch. Ok, lets start. Just one more beer first……..

I love the NATO; it’s a great contrast to the dial. Awesome. I don’t like rubber straps at all; some look really nice, I just hate the way they feel. I like bracelets on dive watches. It’s a really cool looking watch. Nice video.
I agree it's priced high, but a number of Micros are wanting $500 plus for NH35 powered watches, although most at least give you sapphire. I checked their site, and high pricing seems to be their thing, wow, wanting a lot for what they are selling. Cool designs though. Love the Mako! Just got mine! Great video.
