Wow, that was intense! I liked how you let the wind and the sea state do most of the talking in this episode. I think it captured the mood onboard
What time of the year was this crossing? We have a small 32' catamaran, and hope we don't get much wind on our crossing. Currently aiming to leave early to avoid strong trades
Amazing production value. Really well done content.
12:01 Looks like a bomb went off, but at least the kettle is where it should be!
This was intense and raw. You all handled it well, kept calm and prevailed. I experienced that sail with you and that is the first time ever when watching a small yacht sailing video. You earned those survival shots at the end!
very nice video… big waves … just the sound of nature as it should be !
Fun video..maybe adding a little more sail would have help to stabilize the boat so it got close to hull speed. I raced a First 40.7 to Hawaii in 40-45 true and in appearance it looked a lot more stable than yours.
I'll never understand why people exaggerate the sea conditions… In 4 to 6m which equals to 12 to 18 ft seas and would've lose sight of the horizon, which I never saw in any portion of this video… There's no reason to exaggerate when out at sea…
gnarly
Only 1 big wave
You guys have a drogue? I'd have been very tempted to deploy one.. Lucky to have a good sized crew.. I'd also mabe have preferred a less twitchy boat for that sea, but then where would have celebratory drinks when you arrive? Great video.
Wow! Great job! Best sailing footage I’ve seen yet on all the sailing channels I’ve watched!
How hard would it be to recover a man overboard in these conditions?
Just wow
Haha this Drink at the end was really good hin! Well done Sailor
Wow. This is living!
Curious if you tried the autopilot in those waves? Does the 40 heave-to well? Thanks for the great video.
Looks like a great downwind sail to me wouldn’t like to be going upwind though
Yol, this is mad. Great watch, subbed

This is the difference between your sailing videos and others who don’t want you to see how they show poor judgement and helm skills when the weather continues to deteriorate and things start falling apart. You guys are truly competent sailors! It’s the price you pay knowing that this is the reality when blue water sailing. Great Job!
That was one of the best sailing edits I've seen. Wow! That was intense! I've been following plenty of sailing channels, and I have to admit, your channel is by far my favorite. I very much like the raw sailing mixed in. Especially in these types of situations. Well done! Great editing!
Seem pretty safe saling with a 40 fot Beneteau 🙂
Lovely to see a boat well managed – nice work.
Just stumbled on this channel. Awesome country intro that was well done,👏👏👏👏 loved every nano second of it
If those waves don’t put hair on your peaches I don’t know what would
How in the world did you have that jib rigged? I counted 6, if not 7 lines coming out of the end of that whisker pole.
