13. I went to Thailand and everyone was amazing, incredibly nice and hospitable. Vietnam was where I ran into problems with locals. I had to be very careful there and be aware of my surroundings at all times. Some of my travel companions where not as fortunate. They got involved in loads of trouble with the locals and ended up being robbed of belongings and money. They where also very stupid and behaved poorly so I do not feel bad for their misfortune as I feel it was avoidable.

14. If you read the news lady boys rob people daily on beach road and in Phuket, more like pick pocket, get over friendly, yea stay away from them in places like Pattaya and Phuket is good advice

18. If somebody steals, they are not "good people" who were tempted. They are thieves and that is evil, period.

19. This raises serious questions about the ethics of Thai police. I lived there years ago and Thailand is a corrupt, seedy, dangerous country. Sure there are lovely people, too, but it's not worth visiting because the police are not impartial like in a civilized country. Moreover, I have seen Thais beat each other with Muay Thai over traffic.
