  1. 2 years later, here are the changes:

    1) no more kuna, everything's in euro.
    2) Croatia is now in Schengen, no more waiting on the borders.

Thank you for this video, I concur with every point you said. Only one thing though: in Croatia you're obliged to carry some form of id at all times. If the id is non EU, I would very much recommend you carry your passport with you. While there's a very low chance a policeman or policewoman will ask you for your id, it can happen and if you don't have a valid id, you can get fined. So just keep that in mind when you come over 🙂 Welcome to Croatia!

  2. The milk in Croatia is at most 6% but half-and-half in USA is 10.5% or more. In my opinion, it still waters down the coffee which I cannot understand how Europeans like that. I suppose you get used to it. I just order cappuccino when I'm there because a cup of good plain brewed coffee simply doesn't exist in Europe unless you go to an American coffee shop; only cappuccino or espresso are VERY good. FORGET about asking for a glass of ice. Ice is like gold there. You will get a tiny glass with the equivalent of 1 American cube of ice, so no chance of making your own iced americano. With that said, Croatia is my favorite country in the world. Been there 35+ times and my mother was born there and have a summer house in Istria.

  3. Very good adviced.
    Two more things:
    1. You must be careful when going inside the water on the beach b'csuse the stones used to be slippery.
    2. Mostly, you will need a local doctor to gives you a medical order to get prescription drugs. Other wise you will be not able to buy them.

  4. Amazing video so many information you have highlighted I am glad to have watched it all. Big thank you.
One question we are driving from Italy to Croatia is there any family (I have young children) camping you would recommend we have got our tents. ❤

  5. Last 4 yeras we go in Albania, people are more hospitality, food is better taste, more old original history culture, not so much beton beach to hurt you feets like in croatia and more way better quality & cheper than in Croatia , every season croats rob us and other turist ! Byee croatia welcome belisima Albania ❤

  6. For the voltage adapters thing, you could also look into step-up/down converters instead of adapters, they're bigger and bulkier, but can handle the conversion much better. Just keep in mind they have max ratings, and they cost quite a bit more, so their value really depends on what you're looking to use them with. (Also do your research, don't cheap out on them)

  7. I have a question for you, I will be traveling to zagreb and split croatian next month. I want to make sure I am able to charge my cell. Phone and I am coming from Lisbon Portugal so I am use to type C. I would appreciate your knowledge. Thanks

  8. This is more of a guide to US education 😂 Literally all these cultural things are common sense and have nothing to do with Croatia at all. The things you need to know when visiting Croatia: have some cash on you always, bring shoes to enter the water with, don’t go to Zagreb if you’re short on time. Go to Dubrovnik.

  9. Good Lord do North Americans really seriously believe that traffic rules and outlets are the same as their continent…..?! Why is that surprising?! You aren’t in North America! 😂

  10. MOLIM TE NE JAVLJAJ SE IZ HRVATSKE,NEGO IZ SESVETA KAO SNAHA BOSANACA!!!!!
POSTOVANI,KOJI SLUSATE SARU, ONA NE GOVORI O HRVATSKIM OBICAJIMA NEGO BOSANSKIM, OCITO NIJE SVIJESNA U KOJU KUCU JE DOSLA, U HRVATSKU NIJE!!!!!
