Dig it.
This is by far hands down the ultimate dream boat. You did not play up how much open space and breath there is in this boat. From the pilot house to the berths – So incredibly clean and wide open. All the spaces breathe and are well lit. Even the deck is perfection.
literally the most comfortable sailboat I've ever seen
Is it deerfoot or sundeer
watch at 2x, you're welcome
The Only Monohull better is Beowulf. I would be happy with either boat/ SHIP. This one is Very reasonable on price.
It’s not a saloon… it’s a salon!!!
Unusual rare features that are halmarks of this boat were not mentioned. Although props to you for touring this amazing famous Dashew sailboat. It's like touring a Lamborghini. Look at an Oyster 64 with a beam of 17.7 ft. Even the Oyster 58 has a beam of 16ft. This Dashew is a speed demon. Notice the beam is 1/4 the length? narrow arrow for amazing speed. Mention the hull design is unique for stability. This boat can do more than 300nm a day on passages. Other 64s do about 170-240 NM daily average in passage. The interior layout is not designed for luxurious comfort, but for passage making practicality. In other words practically comfortable. The design layout & features are more similar to expedition yachts rather than cruising yachts. This is why some don't like layout.

What year is this one??
STOP IT!! I WANT IT!! Do you have a half a mil or so that I could use!! Wow. Love it.
Yabba Dabba Doo, but you need a Captain's license to sail it. I like it a lot.
How does one helm the boat from the pilot house? You did not really show that? Hope so. That would be the smart thing to be able to do.
Hey! I own one. lol They are great yachts my father gave me it after I remarried as a wedding present. And my daughters love it. Dad and I still sail together. He bought a Sunreef 80 about a year before Covid broke out that we ended up sailing to Hawaii on as a family that I now own. He’s now looking for a motor yacht (and a big one at that). When he had my brothers on a zoom call he told them of his plans and almost at the same time they said “Sis’s new boat” lol.
You're calling the midship enclosed space a pilothouse yet there is no helm or throttles or engine instruments to control the vessel. Please tell me how you can call it a pilothouse when there is no way to control the vessel. in the pilothouse. It appears to me there is only one place you can control the vessel while underway and that is aft on the main deck exposed to the weather.
How do you control it from the pilot house? I don't see it.
OMG‼️ I love this boat. PERFECT ‼️ I'm retired and I have the time, all I need is the MONEY.👀😲👍⛵️
that's a big stick
When you positively, absolutely, have to outrun a building hurricane, this is the boat to do it in!
How much sailing experience do you have?
Preferred the inside of the last boat you were thinking of buying. The wood finish was nice, but not enough of it. Too much of that cream vinyl, on the sides and ceiling made it seem very dated. The shower seemed tired and that rusty old washing machine should of been replaced , before putting it on the market. Off-putting if you ask me.Probably another 50 grand in sprucing her up to standard. Needs new modern electronics also. Seemed to me over $550,000 is still too much . $400,000 tops.
If the current owner of this boat ever comes back and watches this video, I'd love to chat with you sometime.
Video is good. Narration is… Oh! He might love how his voice is sounding? But if his clientele loves to learn the boat's design from such videos then. I love the videos without talkative narrators. They don't add anything useful accept boring. A vessel it self says much more than any narcissing narrator.
What did this sell for?
18:00 19:20 Just the thickness of the insulation tells you everything you want to know about the attention to detail on a Dashew
This boat probably cost a million dollars just to go down to mexico… Not worth the fuel cost – even if you did win the lottery. A whale probably moves faster this boat.
I want itttt
No step on smoked glass hatches, aaaggghh splat!
No it's ugly as Fuck cold and plastic looking interior looks like a bad motel how do I unsubscribe? Not going to finish watching this crap…..
An obvious question, is why are the prices of the boats you tour, hundreds of thousands of dollars more expensive than others shown on other channels in comparable condition?
U keep saying 'i love this, o love that' and u never give any details, plz tell us abt the boat not ur feelings abt it.
What price
The boat has one of the best assortment of Barient winches one will ever come across. I was on this boat in Alameda at the boat show in 95 or 96, truly an amazing display of the Dashews talent.
Just found your channel really enjoying your videos. What type of camera do you use?
Thats my kind of boat!
Couple comments, nice condition of boat, narrow for length, mainsail is limited by stays … really a Bruce anchor?
Far from an expedition ship, exposed helm, deep draught and a flimsy spade rudder. No thanks
The boat has some nice aspects. But how you have to climb from the cockpit to the pilot house looks really bad.
Let me know after I hit the pch or lottery.
I love your videos. Correction: They are called – Bow Pulpit, – Mast Pulpit, – Stern Pulpit. On YouTube videos, the mast pulpit is frequently and incorrectly called granny bars or sissy bars. Here is the real name. If you have sailed offshore in real conditions, and need to make an adjustment on deck while underway, The pulpit is where the sailor secures himself or herself so they are not swept offshore or injured by being thrown about. The pulpit is safety feature #1. Fun fact, in a church, a pulpit is a raised area where the priest stands and preaches.
What a weird layout & waste of space unless your a packrat like this owner is a little. 30 yr old gotta see if the price is appropriate needing sails & saw alot of rust…
Yes –- stop saying you "love" this –– explain the futures of the boat and not your personal "feelings"
It's a Scaled down version of DASHEWS 78' Schooner Cutter Rigged Ketch "BEOWULF". These boats are fast as hell.
Feel the wind in your Air? Don’t worry later on in your life you will grow your Air out and start looking scraggly, congrats on your new baby. There is another SunDeer in Florida on the other coast.
I love it but I find that the cockpit is far too big. Presumably because of the ketch rig.
Great boat but couldn’t see how you steer from the pilot house.
Deep throat commentary, can't understand a single word.
Yes, I love all your videos. I didn’t leave a message on the last one. I am in trouble. Be blessed bro.
I’m afraid she was a racing yacht before. She’s very narrow and a displacement to length ratio is tiny ~85. For me her specs do not look like a blue water boat. Rather an ocean racer
