  1. I’d like to race one of these boats but there is no water near by. Do you have any suggestions how I can race one of these?

  2. Thanks for this video. I used to race full size dingys in my youth – Laser 1’s and 2000’s – I’m now not fit or flexible enough to do this. However I like the idea of r/c racing. This has spurred me to explore the options for this in my area.

  3. One aspect of this decision is also maintenance. A well maintained boat like the IOM will last longer than even a similarly maintained DF boat. Cracking plastic hulls and corroded parts may be a headache for some. Please ask local club members there thoughts as well.

  4. As an Australian sailor who sails every Tuesday with DF 95 and Thursday with DF 65 for the last 6 years, I would have preferred the comments made by sailors rather than elevator music and very basic commentary. I am not at state/county or national level but any assistance/help is appreciated in the system of calling/protesting/discussion. Basic videos like this are advertising not really commentary to get people into the sport.

  5. 3000 pounds for an IOM is exorbitant. I hate to think what a Marblehead or 10 Rater would cost. Actually, a Mini40 multihull is much cheaper and faster, though surprisingly they have not become popular, perhaps because they have a tendency to capsize. But they are just as much fun as any monohull.
