Inspiring. We are looking forward to our first trip to the Sunshine Coast from Bellingham now that the border is open. Cheers.
Another awesome video you guys! that scenery is just breathtaking. It has definitely been added to my bucket list of items now… Disco at the end.. LOL!
Great video!!
Never knew what Ketchikan looked like, looks beautiful!!!
And the scenery as well!!!
Can’t wait to see the next video!!
May fair seas and wind forever be in your favour!!
Wow loved it!!
I’ve done some hiking above those inlets where you can see all the way to BC and down water falls to the inlets thanks for your stunning video👍
You are in my old stomping grounds! I was born and raised in Ketchikan. Spent nearly every summer weekend in Behm Canal (locals pronounce it "Beam") halibut fishing. I remember Eddystone Rock when it had fewer trees on it and seemed taller. With covid you probably had a much more peaceful time up in Misty Fjords. The cruises usually run folks out there in float planes non-stop. I am so glad you ventured up the Fjords so far and saw its true beauty. Not to many sailors are as adventurous as you two. Kudos! You made this Ketchikanite smile for 10 minutes straight. Thank you.
How deep was the water where you anchored in Walker Bay?
You guys do a great video with good tunes. Thanks!
This is so incredible! What an amazing experience!
Completely epic, memories for a lifetime, thanks for sharing
Another great video, Jenny, you had me nervous when you were on that board in that freezing cold water. You are one brave girl!
Looks like a fantastic place and that scenery and bear sighting! So cool. I don’t know how you can ever adjust to coming back to the real world! 🧘
Gorgeous and instructive, thank you for posting. I’m building a boat now specifically to run the inside passage so your videos are inspiring and encouraging. I appreciate very much your emphasis on safety and technique – good to see those life jackets and other gear, and a focus on mechanical maintenance. Can’t wait until the next video.
This video randomly popped up in my recommended and I saw that you guys went through my town of Ketchikan, The Misty Fjords are a very beautiful sight to see. Video doesn't do it justice you have to see it in person to truly take it all in.
Great video and footage of a beautiful place! Awesome idea using your windless to hoist the prawn traps up; I'm going to try that out!
One thought on the audio: In my view, the music during the Misty Fjords bits doesn't really add to the video, but rather, makes it difficult to hear what you guys are saying, which I would find more interesting. Maybe consider making the music volume a little lower compared the video camera audio… but then again, it maybe its just me.
Awesome!!!!
Thanks for sharing! We are hoping to make it to at least Prince Rupert, but hopefully into Alaska next summer and this video just got me even more stoked on the prospect! We are so lucky to cruise on a coast with so many amazing places!
Love the videos! One comment – it's sometimes very hard to hear you both speak because the music is too loud.
My daughter says the Waterfalls were cool and disco looks super cute 🙂
Great video guys, as always 🙂
My two favorite people on water!!
ALASKA, very cool! Good work on servicing your engine, that makes us at SVC proud 🙂 I was very surprised to see you didn't have a vacuum gauge on that Racor – more boat projects in your future. Watch Tech Tip #21, Understanding fuel systems and when to change! This upgrade is less than $100.00 and will give you peace of mind as you travel further where the fuel won't be as clean and great as we have in this area – keep up the great videos and thanks for sharing.
Guess you're back in WA, saw this sighting on the Sampson Boat Co channel … https://youtu.be/RTR9Y9DZNJ4?t=841
Jenny you're very agile on that paddle board! Frigid waters!
Alaska is amazing!
Just wondering how often you post your videos? Binge watched you around Vancouver island, great content, loved it. Hope to see many more, keep it up, thanks.
I really enjoyed your video. Fantastic locations and very well done. I've have subscibed
Hey! Awesome video!!! What drone do you use?
Congratulations, very beautiful place to be in Alaska I traveled all.the Alaska ,very beautiful and impressive
Time of year?
Outstanding. Very inspiring. Great to see a young couple living their dream :] Awesome scenery. I will also be making that trip at some point soon I hope.
I had the same trouble with my oil change pump on my Beta 25. I solved the issue by squirting some oil into the pump. This allowed the oil ring inside the pump to form a better seal.
Regards, AL. Vancouver, BC.
Good stuff!
Do you have any videos that cover more of your thoughts on the Portland pudgy ? I’ve read some negative reviews, mostly in regards to its sailing characteristics, but I’m curious if you’ve since discovered any other dingy that would be suitable for these conditions… enjoying your videos BTW 🙂
No doubt that Alaska has some amazing scenery but after watching several YouTube videos the one conclusion I have come to is that the inside passage involves very little sailing…. Be prepared to motor most of the time. Not what I would have expected.
Have you considered switching to Dynemma rigging (less weight aloft, much stronger, spares on board). I like your channel and wish you success! 😎
Love these videos of Alaska. Spent a few years in the Coast Guard cruising this general area. Great memories. Maybe I'm just an old fart now, but I would ditch the canned YouTube music. Your videos stand on their own without it.
Alaska seems a lovely place, save for the cold. One of your best vlogs. The footage, the music. Ten out of ten
Video is titled "sailing alaska" but features no sailing.
What a beautiful adventure!
Awesome video, terrible music. Just me, felt it detracted and volume was hokey, but otherwise envy you guys and you're great boaties and great people! Be safe be swell!
Love these videos. I'm so ready for this lifestyle.
What month of the year were you up there sailing?
Gee Wizz, I used to run my 33 ft troller
ALO E from Port Alexander to Murphy Cove ALONE That's the other side of Cape Spencer.. Didn't realize I should have been filming my life. ALONE….
This could have been such a great video. Just wish you didn't play loud music whenever you speak.. You are certainly not the only youtubers who makes this mistake, but it is my pet peeve….. Makes it hard to listen to what you are saying and it is so so unnecessary. Music and fast forwarding – my two pets peeves. Otherwise, love the sailboat and the journey – just awesome.
My hubby and I lived in Ketchikan years ago , sailing into the Misty National Fjord. This video was awesome!! We had bad winds and almost lost our lives on our sail!! Keep sharing these great adventures!!
Wow, those are some incredible places! The catch and cook near the end 👌Well done you guys! Looking forward to getting up there!
Thank you for the video. Your engine is so easily accessible. That is nice. I want that in my next boat.
