  1. Can you afford to keep the dog? It's ok everyone saying keep him but just watched Sailing Nadji and it's not cheap to travel to other countries with a pet.

  2. To avoid abrasion damage to the mainsail, you can open it on deck, rather than on the ground. Install the foot of the sail first, by putting the bolt rope in the slot in the boom. And securing the outhaul. ( If your sail is so constructed) Then attach the top of the sail to the halyard. Next, as you hoist the sail, you can install the battens as it ascends from deck level. Secure the main sheet, and try to stay on the upwind side of the boom for safety where possible. No sense shortening your cruising career by getting cleared off the deck by a puffbof unexpected wind. Just my 2 cents. Take care of each other.
    Fair winds.

  3. Hi guys just started my very own YouTube channel ! (Eleanora grace)
Watched you guys from the beginning look forward to your videos every Friday like it was top of the pops lol
Looking for some advice really on how you guys make your videos any tips advice much appreciated.
Much love happy sailing guys !!!

  4. RE: the jib sheets. A shortcut is to take the entire jib sheet and find the centre, Then, tie a loop at that point, shackle the loop to the sheet clew and you're good to go. Variations on this are to put a sheave in the loop, so the shackle is metal to metal and won't chafe through the loop.

  5. The small line tucked into the sail is the leech tension line. It keeps the leech from flogging.
The tracks are jib tracks. The slidey bits are cars.

For less chafe, you can splice eyes into your sheets and join them with a Dyneema soft shackle or, you can get one long sheet and "luggage tag" it. Also known as a larkshead knot.

  6. You need to get something like a brand name "Frontline" or they make different brands but you just apply a small amount between the shoulder blades and rub it in the skin. Thats a place he can't reach and lack. This will keep fleas and tick off. They will not like living on him. They drop like dead flies…lol
But seriously, you can buy this flea medicine in topicalnor there are some than are pill form. Both normally have to be given either every 3 months or twice a year. He's of a great breed and very smart. They are great family dogs! You will love him but there are some challenges getting into some countries and can be costly so you might want to look I to the cost. He's a cutie!

  7. Great work, do you do voice over work?I thought I heard you speaking on a battery YOUTUBE show.Just curious.Stay safe bye,bye C.C.R.REAL WOOD BOAT 🚢🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

  8. You can probably make a sling to carry yashi (?sp). I bought one for mine at a dog store called “Hairy Winston’s” in Charleston, SC but there’s probably utube instructions & they work great and feel stable.

  9. The stuff sold as "Revolution" is amazing to get rid of fleas and also does dewormng (not tapeworm though) .a few drop on the neck "et voila"…

  10. Getting there guys, soon be on the water.
The thin line down the back of the sail, the leach is called a leach line. It is to tighten the leach just until the fluttering stops. Don’t over tighten them .
Your slide track is just that….it’s the car Tracy for the head sail cars. These adjust sail shape and twist. Basic rule is move them back to sail up wind and forward f0r sailing down wind.
Hope to see you out on the water
