Alls I can say is yes please but I'd have to test it out for a couple of years before I commit
A dream boat that will never be reality
Great intro to this amazing cat. I was wondering if you had more info on the important parts, engine location, the electrical system, all those little areas which either make an amazing cat, or a huge headache.
Thank you.
Move those winches up to where the raised helm is and you’ve got an excellent design.
Aluminum without significant weight penalty? Yeah right. Do the calculations. It's 3x heavier than a composite laminate and still not as strong or as fatigue resistant. Plus you need to add additional weight to insulate the hull and decks for thermal and sound. Plus you have major corrosion problems to deal with. And then you end up with a catamaran that will sink to the bottom unless you have very large flotation chambers. There are many good reasons why aluminum is not widely used for cruising cats. But the main one is that they get very heavy and consequently are very slow.
Nice 👌
Nice boat , but what happens with that large front well deck when you surf down a wave and it fills with water , that’s a lot of weight on the bow to plowing into the next wave

I absolutely love this boat. I wonder if a daggerboard version will ever be produced? The Cyber 48 and this boat really show the advantages of aluminum boats. Makes you wonder if it weren't for the availability of skilled craftsman and the challenges of the electrical systems, if more cats would be built using aluminum? 😀
You've got to turn of the sound, look at this cat and think what's so special about this cat that they say its for high latitude sailing other than strong aluminum structure. My answer – is NOTHING. Its just another fancy cat that's being marketed by Garcia but not what they say it is. Brutal – YES, high latitude – NO.
16 tons only?
Only 18 tons for a 52ft cat is very competitive
Thanks for posting and sharing. Very nice to see this great catamaran.
Question – If they gave you one to trial for 6 months to take it to Antarctica would you attempt it?
You onboard of course?
This is a very good advert, I wonder if you haver ever seen the boat though, it doesn't look like it.
Just looking at this boat and how it was built I will not be able to afford it anytime soon. Looks perfect though
Can we build the Katamaran with clear Epoxy ?
This looks impressive. I can imagine the price is also impressively high. Still a aluminum hull is very appealing to me.
Very nice boat.
Always remember that there’s only a half inch between you and the bottom of the sea.
I cant find more detailed video review for the explocat other then this video! The company is not marketing the boat as it should do
this sound in in the background is really annoying and far to loud
Yes I love this boat, it is beautiful.
Lovely cat
I want the pendulum helm station configuration. Much better for long ocean passages. This is a top pick for Xmas.🙂
Fk that mindless noise in the background. Had to clik off …
does the number in a boat's name tell how long the boat is? For instance the boat in your video is explocat 52.
Excellent yacht, poor presentation.
