#TheCruisingKiwis

  1. Well that was intense – anyone for 'Yoga with Rob? Luckily our time in Dampier after this improved big time, as you'll see in the next episode.
Thank you for watching and to those who help keep our boat afloat by supporting our creative process via Patreon. You can be part of the crew for less than the price of a coffee.

  2. That was one confusing Australian man from the government. At first, it was hard to understand what he wanted, why he wanted what he wanted or why he was wearing a child's size life jacket. Instead of just coming on board and stating clearly and fully saying why they were there, they started off beating a round the bush. The two Australian Fishery authorities came close to looking like a bad comedy routine from SNL.

  3. Don’t answer any questions. These “officers” are not your friends. Just be polite and say nothing. They are already going to do what they want to do.

  4. Ok look, I’ve been binge watching you amazing people, brilliant thank you!

This nonsense from the “authorities” (pfffft) actually shits me to no end…well done R&R you handled it perfectly!

    Tea and medals all round!

  5. I kept waiting for you all to burst out laughing, thinking this was a skit. It wasn't until the question on how many were on the boat, I thought oh crap, it's real! I'm glad they take that seriously, protecting wildlife for future generations. But, they could have been more chill about it.

  6. When ever a law officer reads you your Miranda rights, (to remain silent) you should heed his advice and do exactly that! Don’t say a word.

If you simply must respond, the comment is “no comment”.

Say it often enough, they will stop asking questions and go away.

If they already had enough evidence to convict without a statement from you – they would have said “your under arrest!”.

The fact that they didn’t – means they were trying to obtain the evidence they needed from you in either a confession or a witness statement to arrest someone else based on your evidence.

So you have the right to remain silent, so exercise it. Make them prove beyond reasonable doubt, that your guilty of some offence.

Don’t go willingly giving them the evidence they need to secure a conviction.

When a law officer gives you a Miranda warning, that means they intend to arrest you, once they have gained your confession, so you will seldom if ever “talk your way out of trouble!” All you will achieve by flapping your gums is to dig your hole deeper.

    Mums the word.

So, no comment & I order you to leave my vessel is the ONLY response.

  7. My god how Australian is that!
Lesson: Cops can NOT be trusted, say NOTHING! They are not on your side, they are there to attack not defend.
Definetly say nothing and if you feel you need to, get a Solicitor and let the Solicitor deal with them.
You'll find the cops will back off soon as you give them your Solicitors number to call.
I don't know if they actually have a right to board your boat without written notice.
It pays to know the rules BEFORE you play the game!

Well done for keeping your camera on. That took some balls!

  8. You have the right to remain silent and they don’t have the right to film on private property without permission.
A No Trespass sign may even keep them off your boat?

  9. Evidently, Mr Pickwick was right. The Law is an ass, and the Western Australian taxpayer is paying for this farce.

  10. hey wife, you need to learn to shut up. you made a lot of foolish mistakes that out your family in jeapordy. love, but wise-up

  11. Very surprised they let you film, obviously made him nervous, stubbled his words. Guessing consideration for promoting the message via your channels, which is great.
Some of these officers can be real hard-arses, put a uniform on a 5ft guy he acts 10ft tall, would have reacted very different to Rob's initial reaction, laughing, interrupting, etc.

  12. Not lawful to swim with something natural….. basically unless you have paid someone who I turn pays tax which I turn pays these fellas.

Can you imagine telling someone this 40 years ago! This is what we have done to ourselves. We have hundreds of thousands of laws that are u realistic for any society to function by.

Wake up people, especially Australians who are raps only striding towards a surveillance state, WAKE uP.

Do you want to live in a society where the elites have 100% control of every activity, you will be safe from anyone but them should they choose to punish you. Or do you want to live a I. World where sure sometimes bad things might happen, but then again sometime good things will happen.

We are losing the grit of our forebears, we are losing our freedoms because they are swapping them out for convenience and safety.

Do you really want to live in a world where there is no risk? Where everything is safe? And all you have to do is follow all the rules that someone has set for you.

Think about it, this story is about a man swimming in awe of a fish…

And before any of you greenies bang on about how they are rare, that’s all the more reason to swim with them. They are not your fish, they are everyone’s and as long as he does not harm or inhibit them it should be his human right to do so. Not just some tweedy student on a green warrior agenda.
