Drift nets love them or hate them but in a harbour entrance on an Atlantic coast well known for it's storms In the 1700's Britain they would have been called wreckers and hunted by the Kings Men

I have since 1979 done most of my sailing through Flotilla Sailing companies I highly recommend them to wannabe sailors as they used to offer holiday to learn to sail afloat

The guilty orca's are going to have to be culled. not viable to have Alpha predators endangering humans. This sort of learned behaviour will be passed on to following generations so that behaviour has to be eradicated.

It’s really sad that this rumor of orcas attacking boats is being spread when the reality as usual is much more ordinary – in this case ocean garbage attacking cruisers.

I'm wondering how much you need to make arrangements ahead when sailing to a port. Do you phone ahead? Radio ahead? Wait until you arrive to secure a slip or mooring. Is there a web site that lists conacts?

Does anyone make a rudder guard to prevent the orcas from damaging the rudder? Something like cyclone fence cage around the rudder.

I often wonder why people do not drop M-80's on the whales when they attack their boats. In U.S. waters I would shoot them if they attacked me with my family. They are nothing to play around with, I thnk if they wanted to they could keep atacking untill they create such a big leak you could sink.
