Revoluția 24 înclinată este cu siguranță ciudată, dar este minunată?

Acest mini-cruiser poate părea ciudat, chiar extraordinar, dar așteptați până când vedeți spațiul pe care îl oferă sub punți. 1. One would think the bow design would have to cause the boat to “hobby horse” in rough seas. I’d bet it surfs down waves like crazy however. Can’t argue about all the utility of the extra space below deck however. Great experiment.

  2. A decent coastal cruiser but I wouldn't be caught dead offshore in one. Too much glass and a vertical dagger-board keel is just asking for trouble.

  3. The top triangle on most ordinary sailboat rigs does not add anything but windage and weight high above deck. It's a great idea to just cut it off. A sailboat does not need to look like a dart to go efficiently through the water – a windsurfer for example goes over the surface efficiently – even when not planing. And when heeled in a 'dart' design you loose a lot balance anyway. With a scow you get a lot of waterline, stability interior room and workspace on deck on a short boat.
I don't agree with aluminium for the hull. There are so many great composites available.
Rethinking boat design is very welcome indeed :-).

    All the best

  4. In terms of space my old 1974 Hurley '24 gave me 6ft standing headroom, had 4 berths, a separate heads, a galley area, and looked after you…..no doubt this is faster.

  5. I'm comparing this beauty to a Beneteau 30.1. It's very durable, light, interesting for furious storms, and has a lot of utility. I'm sure I'll feel very safe in one. Cork is a proven insulation in submarines. Can it tack well?

  6. Where are we now with the durability of aluminum? Were early corrosion problems caused by lack of zinc anodes? Finally, what kind of boat yard can repair damage to aluminum hulls?

  7. If you think about it the hull shape is a bit like an old wooden galleon. Obviously the sides are smaller, but the shape is very old indeed.

  8. 75 000 € tout de même, c'est cher pour un p'tit bateau comme ça ! Mais c'est vrai que le concept des bouts ronds est excellent et permet un grand gain de place.

  9. shame to test it in such flat conditions because the big question is not answered, how does it handle waves, particularly a sharp chop, looks like it would not only bash around, but would be bloody noisey too

  10. it is so Ugly! one of beauty in sailing is to watch beautiful boats cutting waves. But this is piece of bad looking misunderstanding… same like new cars and buildings which are so ugly that they designers has to always mention that those are cool or new age simply because they are too stupid to design beautiful things anymore. and this ugly boat is an clear example of Ugly object described as Cool even looks like sh…

  11. Is there a video of him sailing into the wind, (orca) in rough seas? high waves? This is all on calm seas with little wind and calm seas.

  12. i think these are beautiful yachts because they perform beautifully …. and i think anyone who thinks its ugly would think the same, the more miles they get under the keel.

  13. Who wants standing headroom in a yacht whilst sailing. All that space wasted?
Better designs in glass fibre in the 60s like kingfisher 20s, vegan 24, vega 27, trident 24 etc

  14. Reminds me of Tom Wilkes’ “SCHUSS” JOG Boat built by his Viking Marine out of stretched aluminum on the same production line as the ships lifeboats about 1958/9x
Anyone have a picture of her.
I have an Aerial photo and some 8 mm film , but nothing more.

  15. Looking at glass panels
I wonder if the designer(s) has even stepped inside a sailboat
I promise you a fat 120° all summer long :)))))))

  16. Toy boat – Claustrophobic interior structure, ugly, too crowded and uncomfortable. For a short voyage no more than 3-4 hours..

  17. Boy, this boat looks like shit, but if someone gave me one, I would sail it to the carribean and Bahamas to do some fishing. And fish don' t care about the looks of a boat.
