  1. Welcome to the rolly/pitchy ride of catamarans. Some prefer them to monohulls. I personally think the monohull ride "feels" more stable as the changes in pitch seem less sharp and erratic on the monohull to me. It's particularly noticeable when one hull is going in one direction and the other suddenly pitches in the opposite direction. Some people get used to it and find it more tolerable than the larger but less "jerky" shifts that similar sized monohulls go through.

  2. I don't understand it. You know your motor is giving up the ghost, yet you continue to use it when you don't NEED to. Little or no wind, put her in irons and go to sleep till the wind comes up. You are stressing yourself and the motor for no reason. This is how people fail on long crossings Like the pond or pacific crossings which can take a couple weeks or longer if you hit light winds or chase around storms

  3. loved that relaxed sailing video, you seem like sailing hippies really, the perfect imperfection if you ask me, keep it coming I love it, you guys have a parking heater?

  4. I would have put Offshore sailing as going away from UK to France where you don't see the coast … so i think you already did your offshore from Weymouth to France.
Go to Cadaqués (in Spain) your near it … a movie was filmed at Cap de Crues near there with Yul Brynner

  5. P.erfect cat sailings, wind on the beam & then astern. Maybe see if you can rig Genoa & Jib on twin forestays for downwind ? You will be going like a train. Love the mizzen & genny combo. But skipper you have got to learn to sleep at sea. Even an hour or two at a time. It is a key skill for safety. Be able to sleep anywhere anytime, & wake up if needed.

  6. As a single-handed sailor, I'm telling you that you must manage fatigue better. You had crew and safe, open water. SLEEP or you're no good to anyone, especially in a crunch. Otherwise, great job!

  7. Fab video guys. You rock. For sea sickness try umeboshi, Japanese pickled (brined) prunes. Their acidity is very effective in stomac and sea sickness. Highly recomended. For fishing, maybe you need a rocking motion with rod when cruising slow, if fast, you need a bigr bulb/weight to keep the artificial bait under water. Try feathers and different settings? Cheers

  8. Oh my God how can you stand to listen to that autopilot? I had to stop the video because of it.

Hope you had a good rest of the sail, see yall next week!

  9. Olá meus queridos amigos e familiares, prazer revelos nesta nova aventura.

  10. Wish I knew more about fishing the Mediterranean, but if you were in the Gulf of Mexico that lure would be effective. Not my personal choice in color, but they can go deep and have lots of action. If your vessel is moving at a pretty good clip I'd switch to a bucktail as they have far less drag. I use that same style lure trolling the Gulf with my kayak, but I use ones that are gold colored or silver with a red head.

  11. Nice goin m8s, that including your experienced crew 😉 Keep up the good work, lookin forward to the nextie. Thanks, you and yours stay safe and well eh!

  13. Try a green or gold hoochie. Works wonders here in the PNW. Actually a candy stripe also. Red and white. Keep up the good work cheers M
