Better to have been decommissioned rather than become "New Britain". Rather sad end to an era.

What a cheapskate Blair was. He managed to find at least £10 billion for his little escapade with his chum George W in Iraq a few years later yet couldn’t find a few tens of millions to save the Royal Yacht.
After hearing all my grandfather's war stories of his time in the Navy, as an adult I can now understand when my grandmother used to say "He loves that damned ship as much as he loves me"(in jest of course)..His response was always "DON'T TALK ABOUT MY WOMAN LIKE THAT" haha XD Sailors are just made different man, always have been lol

THis is what makes her show some emotion!!!!! How many residences does she have that she has at the peoples´expense and in which she has done not one stint of gardening or vacuuming!!!! I do not feel sorry for her at all.
So why is she crying? She had the option of opening her purse and paying for the needed renovations. She just wanted the people to pay for renovating her damn boat. The Royals have an embarrassing amount of money and they don’t seem to ever want to pay for anything.
The government should have paid for the repairs to the ship. Just abusive frankly to have decommissioned it.

Sad to hear of her passing. Mostly because her successor is a joke, but she also had some class about her. But boo hoo, my favorite boat is gone. Oh wait, I'm still the Queen and all I have to do is show up for press.
