  1. Spoken like a true captain and leader, this would be a captain to work for and learn from. Very disciplined and even mannered, I can only imagine the men and women that have worked as a team under this captain that did not walk away without becoming a more solid individual than when they arrived. May the wind always be at your back sir.

  2. I believe that this deck hand may have “ worked on a yacht that had and allowed perhaps this behavior . However to be so ignorant to suggest that this is normal and to be expected behavior is as stupid as the person watching this and believing it. Perhaps this deck hand is now speaking out because something went down on HIS boat and he got fired so now he wants to project and vent a false narrative

  3. It's a "Vice" video. Which translates to "sensationalize everything and don't give a single thought to facts or truth".
Or, of course it's bullshit. Vice produced it.

  4. Yes, maybe some of the things said are overblown, but your assertion that the billionaires in yachts are "just like anyone else" is totally wrong. They are immorally rich. Having that much wealth is just in itself a crime when the rest of the world is full of starving, struggling, and dying people. For the price of one week on that yacht you could probably house and feed hundreds for months. I understand wanting to have an easy life, but luxury and decadence on that level is just unacceptable. I do not hold anything against the crew or captains of such yachts, you are all the happy side effect of the elite's greed. I'm glad that all of you are able to be paid well, but I think that in an ideal world people would help others before splurging on themselves. Of course those who work hard and generate wealth for themselves should be able to enjoy it, but these mansions at sea are way too far- they cross the line from deserved rewards for hard work to greedy and extravagant luxury.

  5. the SuperYacht industry is notoriously contaminated by people who do not deserve their ill gotten gains. There are lots of bad people in the industry unfortunately. This captain could be paid to be a corporate shill.

  6. 16:15 when you use the word “moaning” I think it reveals your dismissive biases.

Just because you didn’t see it, or your friends didn’t see it..doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen..you throw around data percentages of 1-2% but have absolutely no data to back up your claims 🤔

I am sure your experience has been positive, and with the money you make, it could be argued that your biases are protectionist 🤔..of and $1000 euros for working around the clock…No day off…if you’re working 52 weeks a year non stop that’s €52k a year…I dunno, that’s nothing to brag about imho..not for the expectations

  7. I really didn't understand the point of the Vice video. The live animal slaughter onboard was so unbelievable (with the exception of lobster as mentioned). As if they are going to bleed out a lamb all over that expensive deck. Now getting in produce straight from an exclusive micro farm or something I could believe. As for the dangers I was expecting to hear that people are murdered and fed to the sharks. What happened to that crew member is horrible but a very real danger on any boat. Step over a line and you can drown in minutes.

A lot of what the 'informer' said happens everywhere, and not just by the rich. Drug use/smuggling, people smuggling, prostitution, etc. Now if the guy had said that he had evidence that the owners of the super yachts were the top bosses of these industries that would be worth talking about. People do not become billionaires without others being exploited.

  8. U lost me at “When u are rich u can do anything, as long as its legal”

N then ur thowin around the word common sense in the beginning

Sounds like someone gets paid extraaa maybe
Or maybe that every person has different experiences in different places with different people,
Why call it bullshit what the masked man is saying, if he didn’t even call anyone specific out🤔
Then u go n call boat names out 😂

They don’t say money makes the world go round for nothing

  9. of course they are getting paid to travel the world. If the ship they are working on travels around the world then it simply is. Belittling their role doesnt do anything to help.

  10. Anything can happen anywhere anytime. Certainly there’s going to be bad people out on the water but there’s also a lot of really good people that enjoy the water and love the lifestyle of working hard. My feeling is that taking on a job such as this without knowing full well what it entails or if you don’t have experience being on the water for long stretches of time is just not a great idea.

  11. Dude your full ofbit. People with money, billions. Party different and thi b k they can do what they want in life. Specially on their own boat. They do have sex parties that are filled with drugs. Not saying they are doing the drugs but they supply them to the party for the girls. People with money party different different someone with $100 or $200. Tristan you been a the industry but only worked for 2 people. You might have gotten lucky and not witnessed it and had good owners but not all is the same.

  12. i smell and pick up my energies and vibes I know this super yahcht captain is busted and mad that the world knows coruption don't even need to hide nomore we see it lmao so why would a person go wear a mask and scared to the world to unfold things ..and this "super" yahcht captain wants to be like "ooh" "he's lieing" simple ..who lies over things like that when they had to wear mask that shows how serious and scared he was to air the truth and he did and ofcourse the super yahcht captain will fight back because thier exposed

  13. Two peoples experiences in a world of thousands is hardly worth giving too much credit. I’ve had wildly different experiences working the same jobs w different people and companies

  14. "When a lot of money is involved it changes people and I think it always brings out the worst in a lot of people's personalities." I couldn't have said it any better. I understand the channel owner, being a superyacht captain, would tend toward defending the industry, but I've been there with the rich and super rich, and they're a different breed of people whose entitlement makes basically anything possible.

  15. Drug trafficking onboard commercial container vessels happens everyday. Their cargo is worth millions however it’s still a lucrative ploy to have crew and even captains involved in smuggling narcotics between countries. Just a few months ago a super yacht captain was the mastermind behind a smuggling attempt in Australia. Just because you’ve never heard of it being done doesn’t mean it’s not being done. Don’t sit there and tell everyone that it hasn’t and never will happen.

  16. The captain doesn’t run anything. The millionaire/billionaire calls all the shots. The captain is still active and has something to lose, the masked guy can talk freely and doesn’t have to give a politically correct answer.
    Tristian is capping

  17. I used to detail yachts and boats for 25 years usually the captain gets the beautiful girls that work on the yachts because usually he's the one that makes the money. Most of the time the owners don't even use their boats probably just once or four times a year. Usually if you're hands on , you better be a nice looking dude or you will never touch the women. Probably some might do crazy parties, but most will not. They're usually too busy making money.

  18. You can bet your arse that there are those trained to in all capacities to operate large vessels who are raised by Satanic families under MK Ultra-styled programming whose job is to serve and provide for certain diabolical rich and extremely powerful people. These servants wouldn't think twice about sacrificing live animals and (use your imagination), during Satanic rituals performed clandestinely, while offshore on their owners' megayachts.
No concerns, whatsoever, about the possibility of authorities catching them in the act, as when performing such rituals on land. All evidence would be dumped to the bottom of the ocean, well before authorities could arrive. It might be few and far between, but it does happen and of course, most other professionals in the industry wouldn't have a clue that such things might be taking place.

  19. I’ve worked for people who have a bit of money, to people with a lot of money. Usually it’s the ones wanting to have money that are the pain in the arse. The rich people have been quite fair and reasonable. They might want everything done to perfection, but that isn’t a bad thing and they are paying well.
As for sexual harassment, aren’t you allowed to keel haul them anymore? 😉
