  1. When a friend taught me to stow the furler line (as you did with the spare snubber line) on the wire he referred to it as ‘the d@$k and balls’ knot…..which became kind of obvious once he said it. Maybe it’s an Aussie thing….

  2. nice video! check out the "zeppelin knot" instead of the "lovers knot". its more secure and can be "broken" open like a bowline it its gotten crusty

  3. I used to watch a channel that was a brunette girl and a blonde guy. They had old sailboats that they often moved for people, they had very little money only a few thousand subs. It was right around the time James started getting a following. Most of their videos were in the sea of Cortez. The girl was from Canada and the boy was raised on a sailboat I dont recall if he was from the USA. His mother and step father lived in South America and sowed and repaired sails for people to make money. I CANT REMEMBER THE CHANNEL NAME or boat name. I like to watch the sailing channels run buy non rich people. Like bums on a boat. Anyone have any suggestions or does anyone have any idea who I’m talking about?

  4. This… this is what I initially signed on for. Your skills an knowledge. I get it, the other stuff sells. I get it. But this is what makes you great.

  5. Thanks for the knot tutorial! The extra step on the clove hitch is 'ninja'! I have a question about digital charts: What are you using? Do you prefer C-MAP, Navionics, or something else? What is your chart plotter?… I currently use an ipad with navionics and predict wind, but I am considering getting a plotter now that they have c-map, navionics, predict wind support.. i.e. raymarine, b&G.. etc. I am interested in your take on that.

  6. I really like your how to vids all good. I tie my fenders' different old captain from South Africa showed me how to tie never lost one in 10 years.

  7. I just tried the coiling hand over thing.
