The Az is probably on a demo ride. The captain seems to be deliberately getting out of shape and hitting the biggest challenges.
It's a nasty inlet. The megayacht did "ok" steering in. Not sure what was meant by saying the mega yacht was made for calm waters. Not so. I'm a sailboat guy myself,
but I've been on all kinds of vessels. This beauty can cruise anywhere.
That Cap'n Crunch piloting the Azimut? Don't often see experienced captain's allow whitecaps smacking the ribs like that…

Nice yacht but nowhere close to as big as they get in the world of super yachts 116 foot is the size of the tender for Azzam owned by sultan of UAE Khalifa bin Zayed I believe his yacht commissioned in 2008 runs about 600 foot could you imagine seeing that thing go through Haulover?

Even though it's rough these are good examples of why not to go 2 or 3 knots, your not in control the waves are.

It’s an azimut what else u expect
For a 116' super yacht, it sure does get tossed around a lot. Seems like the boat is too narrow for it's length.
One can clearly see the advantages and disadvantages of various boats. The large yacht is heavy and can resist the waves pretty well but it cannot respond quickly to the helm. The smaller boat is well designed for this type of sea. It has a large "flare" to the bow that channels the waves to the side, it has a closed bow that allows water to flow over and off and it can respond quickly to the helm. The Yacht due to its overall length and weight is piloted by a professional captain the smaller boat by a skipper with excellent skills who probably runs this inlet all the time.
We had a Sealine S34 and in rough seas like this the speakers used to fall off!

You must be using a skydio drone, because there is no way in hell you are getting that close to waves while going backwards, or your well insured lol great shots ! I'm in the north east and still freezing up here.

I’ve always said that if it isn’t a steel full displacement hull then you’re driving a bobber.
Having navigated Haulover since the early 1970's and having enjoyed these videos, my only conclusion is that I am not certain who is less talented: The people who captain the majority of the boats going in and out of Haulover, or the original engineers who located and designed Haulover.
That motion does not look luxurious. They should copy Servo yachts or the SWATH boat called GHOST.
Why don’t they build break walls where so many of these dangerous inlets are?
In every one of these videos I am amazed the number of children without flotation devices, this to me is absolutely stupid on the part of their parents.
