  1. I spent about 24 hours in rough seas once, in the Med, in a small Cruise Ship. You can't sleep, I had to shower kneeled, the bathtub spilled and flooded the whole bathroom, it's almost impossible to shave, all objects are falling constantly, you grab them, put them in place and they fall again and again until you give up… The whole ship squeaks, as if in pain. The swell was hitting our ship squarely sideways, therefore she didn't pitch at all but rolled A LOT. Every time a damn wave hit the hull, you heard and felt a BONNNNNG that ressonated along the whole ship. It became quite scary, although the crew never made any public address. Sometimes it really felt as if she was going to capsize.
It quickly becomes exhausting and you find yourself cursing the moment you decided to go on that bloody Cruise. It's very much like enduring moderate turbulence for one full day. 🤬
How anyone can endure heavy seas for days or weeks without going nuts is beyond me! 🤯

  2. They’re lucky! I flew to Europe, but returned home on an ocean liner. BORING! The ocean was as calm as bath water. No waves, no storms, no nothing.

  3. Oh hey no! I love the beach I hate the ocean. I went on one cruise never again. Too many people and stuck all together confinement and crowded. Then this ?? None you could pay me to go one . Rather fly to a beautiful place

  4. Yeah, I had terrible experience in my first cruise, went with my kids and the nausea were terrible, yeah for now first and last experience for me, not cruise any time soon

  5. I love it! In the Navy I was on a Destroyer. We'd call a day like this "Tuesday". We were like a cork in the waves at times. Green water over the ship's bridge, baby! Most everyone on board too sick to eat so I had plenty of whatever I wanted!

  6. No thank you! Airplanes are all the turbulence I can handle. Least I know if we go down in the ocean I’m meeting Jesus before y’all. Water is too slow and cold 🥶 but wait shoot there’s water below the plane. ✈️ 🌊 well I’m not giving that up. Just not sure about cruises and especially those windows 😮😂

  7. I took a cruise from Alaska to Petropavlovsk across the Bearing Strait. It was so rough that the waves were crashing against the windows on deck 5 which was over 50 feet above the waterline. Old ladies were barfing everywhere.

  8. they should invent auto gyro stabilising chairs like cameras and drones but for people….u sit in a chair suspended by two gimbals and u will remain perfectly stable and never feel the effects of the ship rolling no matter how violent it is.

  9. I was on a cruise recently where the boat was constantly at a 135 degree angle (or something like that lol) for like a day bit stop bc there were 75 mph winds constantly hitting from one side of the boat. It was pretty miserable. And frightening at times. But I still love cruises.
