  1. I wonder if, when people who were this rich, privelidged and lived get old and are laying on their death beds are aware of how charmed and lucky they were. Or, are they resentful and upset to see it all coming to an end? I’ve known one gentleman who was this wealthy and lived a wonderful life though it wasn’t derived from privelidge, rather from hard work and living with chance much of his younger life. He died well, on his own terms and was happy with the life he had and his ability to leave something behind that helped his family.

  2. Words fail me. The elegance and beauty of a bygone era. I would rather cruise the Med on Her than any superyacht out there. There is history and craftsmanship. Beauty and practicality. A sympathetic update where needed.

    I am utterly in love.

  3. Gaff schooners are just poetry in motion, and this one's a real beauty. You'd spend the rest of your life keeping up with the varnish work, but it'd be worth it. And what a history!! All of the art deco elements are perfect, too.

  4. I hate the idea of sailing, but your descriptive provenance, and it's retained beauty from the distant past has me wanting to be part of the voyages to come. 👍✌

  5. Such a stunningly magnificent boat and I’m both extremely glad and envious that you got to enjoy such a spectacular moment that seems to transcend time

  6. Thanks for the mention of the Opaline Glass in the light fixture… these are the little historical material & technique facts that I love to learn about in these vintage yachts.

  7. Current boat designers take note, see the REASONABLY sized cabins??!?!?!? Yes, in fact boats dont need apartment sized bedrooms. Wow, mind-blowing, I know.

  8. The presenter took me into another world and time. I just understood that artists need the input of each other for own creativity. What a quality channel – I am on board now.

  9. am i the only one who is shocked that this yacht has a La Cornue range on board??? you don't really see those on most homes to begin with, let alone a yacht. that's crazy!!!

  10. What a wonderful video!!!!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you David Seal! Thank you to your team as well! Thank you for taking us in a wonderful place! Thank you for taking us in a journey of discovery of history! Thank you for sharing with us those historical references! Those references and the history of the yacht really give the yacht the depth and the pedigree that make it a highly desirable purchase!!! Did I mention, thank you!!! Thank you for the passion for yachting that we feel wholeheartedly within your naration!!! Passion is something you cannot buy. But passion is certainly something you can feel!!! Thank you David Seal and looking forward to your next video!!!

  11. … layers of memories here, for sure … like an oceanic caravel of a different sort of design … born for dream making upon a once ancient sea … loosely shaped as a 'wet' moon' or astronomically the 'bowl of water' or boat of Osiris' shape that a quarter moon takes on when the bottom of the moon appears to slide on it's bottom & manifests 'handles' turned down at the end … resembling a aquatic chariot of a drinking vessel … I would change her name from 'weatherbird' … to Gypsy … Louis Armstrong's … Gypsy …

  12. The Murphys pioneered summering on the south coast of France. On hot sunny days the locals would be looking to stay out of the sun. The Murphys would throw parties on the beach at their home near Antibes for their kids and their famous friends. This spawned a now famous local arts colony. Imagine being there before all the modern development.

  13. Nothing has the charm , the ambiance, the never ending maintenance , the bottomless pit of money.
All the same great to see it preserved. Beautiful boat.Thank you super rich people. We need you after all for things like this.

  14. Beautiful boat, incompetent tour. Had to go to the website to get a vestige of info. As a broker, I'm always amazed at how bad other brokers are at this job.
