2. A sad ending but a huge warning to these pirates that their actions will not be tolerated. Good on the French soldiers. The Captain of the vessel should have heeded the warnings.

3. Not sure why this video is dedicated to Florent Lemacon. He's the one that risked many lives and wasted a lot of time and money. Not a smart move to sail right into a hurricane.

5. Florent Lemacon is an example of why you don't casually sail into a war zone. I have no sympathy for his fate. He was strongly warned and ignored them. I have no sympathy for the pirates. They deserve to be gibbeted like in the good old days, instead of given a luxurious stay in a French prison. Afterwards, they can claim refugee status and live a life of comfort on the taxpayers' dime. Kudos to the French sailors who did not immediately surrender to the pirates.

   It is sad that Lemacon was lost but I'm sure that he was happy that his loved ones were saved.

9. The only criticism of the navy is that they shouldn’t have risked their own lives to save some idiots lives. Once the yacht ignored the warnings they should have forfeited any help from their own armed forces.

21. ngl its regrettable that Lemacon died, but its his own fault that everything occurred. His lack of concern for himself and the others onboard, along with his own stupidity to ignore the Floreal's warnings about the pirates led this series of events to unfold

25. What an arrogant jackass the civilian "captain" was. He lost his life endangered and traumatized his family and cost his country millions due to his idiotic misguided poor choices. It is very hard to feel sorry for him but I can't help but feel sorry for his family especially his small child who is now fatherless because of his stupidity.

27. I generally do not have any respect for most EU countries. France, is one of the few EU members I hold in very high regard. Salute France. Great job as usual and thank you for being one of very few EU countries that helped US in Astan and did heavy lifting, rather than token gestures from the majority of EU/NATO nations that are only parasites on my country (USA) and active collaborators with the enemies of the West,, such as Iran and Russia.
