Recently, Ive gottten out of the want to Sail the World. Maybe it is because Zatara has been on a roadtrip on land or Gone W/ the Wynns just sold their boat and will be on land for a while until they get their new boat, but watching your videos has gotten me back in. I don't know how or why, but I'm not complaining!
For ocean fishing a wire leader should be used. Those fish have teeth.

For your holding tanks, adding a 1/4 cup or so of laundry borax (20 Mule Team) works wonders. Keeps the tanks clean and fresh.
egg note: freah eggs: roll them in mineral oil. it'll give them a shelf life of 6-9 months 😉

Hi! Silly question. We dream of buying a sailboat and we have a dog. Where do your dogs do their things during navigation without messing up the boat and how did you guy teach them. Finally, isn't there the risk that a dog could slip on the deck and fall outboard? Thanks
Just curious, why not use a wind turbine type generator either in lieu of or conjunction with the solar panels for more power or banking or for when the sun isn’t at its prime for making power?

Just a quick about fresh eggs from someone who was a 5* Hotel Manager in England, Europe and Bermuda fresh eggs won't last 3 months even when there chilled. Always smell them before you cook them another idea is pop the eggs in there shell into a glass of water if they sink don't use them .

Another tip regarding keeping eggs fresh longer: Flip them top-to-bottom. By doing this everyday or when you take some out, it will keep the yolk from touching the shell and keep a pocket of air forming.
Leaders are needed to prevent the fish from biting through the line. Would you drop your anchor using rope instead of chain?
Suggestion: Install a fish finder/Fathometer on the dinghy. This way you can use it to scout ahead of the boat to prevent grounding. Additionally, you can find fish for your spearfishing adventures.
