I am in the Seychelles now and actually struggle with the food. I don’t eat seafood nor meat, and it’s hard. I love rice snd fries but where are the veggies and amazing fruits? Compared to many other tropical islands, it’s just a small variety of fruits and hardly any veggies. Unless you pay a fortune at fancy restaurants, it’s not easy for vegetarians who want to eat a good, balanced diet.
Malidives is overrated compared to the Seychelles
I've never been to the Maldives but I have been to the Seychelles. And everything they are saying about the Seychelles is spot on! I remember seeing super clear beach water and shades of turquoise water. And the food was really good! I went as a single man and I really enjoyed the night life. Lots of beautiful girls..
Seychelles are far better than Maldives. It is more beautiful, variety and bigger with better food and much more clean.
How is Mauritius in comparison to these two?

Didn't realize the Maldives was Muslim. That's a no-go for me. There are some Muslim countries I would like to visit but those countries have more to offer.

The no bikini on the beach is a lie in the Maldives
AVOID going to the Maldives. There has been a change in govt – they now support terrorist Islamist terrorist regimes and it is a dangerous place for westerners to visit (leaving aside the massive corruption, crime, violence, overdevelopment and income inequality)
But you can definitely stay in luxury 5-star resorts in the Seychelles as well…

Thanks so much!! In spite of dong a hotel channel and lots of research, I’ve never seen a review mention the Muslim culture of Maldives! This is really important as being served by people who don’t believe alcohol should be allowed ( and I see their point) would be uncomfortable. Hearing prayer call might be ok in a city ?? Because you expect it. But on a beach vacation? No no. Hard pass. Checked off my list

That’s the only reason why I want to visit the maledives instead of other destinations…I am a huge ocean wildlife lover and my dream is to see a whale shark once in my life. Everybody I asked told me that the best destination to do that is maledives. When it comes to resorts, beaches, food or culture I would be happy to go to any place but the wildlife in the water is said to be the best there… so I guess it’s settled for me
I've been to Seychelles, Bora Bora, Maldives and Zanzibar. Love them all but I'd choose both Seychelles and Zanzibar over the other two. The takamaka rum was so on point. The best beaches on Earth are in Seychelles. The people in Seychelles are awesome!!!

Where did you stay on Mahe in the Seychelles? In April, We are going on a small boat 7 day cruise there and want to visit 3 nights both before and after the Cruise. Prefer smaller hotels than the bigger ones. One being near a great beach with snorkeling would be very great! Thank you for the video, it was great!
