I heard a step #2!
30 years ago I sailed on the MV Norsel from Tromso to Svalbad return. A great experience. Camped rough for 18 days. My diary tells me all. Greeting from Australia 🇦🇺
Tell Ed I said hi
All the way from Cobh
Great sailor
Great adventure there Sam. The scenery and yacht were something. Look forward to your next post. Be safe.
Wow, that looked like the Norwegian version of Barrow Alaska.
Awesome adventure! Lovin the smile on yr face. This life your livin fits you well.
You are not for real. Why do you not sail a bit further north of Svalbard?
My God that is a beautiful boat. So Jealous! Only an Amel can be more sexy.
Good trip…
The beauty of life on the road/sea – you just never know what amazing opportunity will present itself 🙂
epic stuff made to look easy, great content. 👍
Do not read At the Mountains of Madness by Lovecraft when you sail far South or North, never ;).
Nice video! Thanks Sam!
What a great adventure and a beautiful boat!
I read Voyage for Madmen last month – great book!
Sam, you have travelled far from Wilmington!
So beautiful
Big shout out for Adventure Now channel 👍
Thanks for sharing, standing by
I know Svalbard as it's largest island, Spitzbergen. But I'm old.
9:40 killer footage
That was a killer episode.
Definitely you're far up north when you see a polar bear warning sign.
EXO vid.
Ed looks like Colin Ferrells Brother!
Looking forward to more of this trip. How incredible
Hopefully you will get chance to go to Ny Alesund also an ex coal mine (mine closed after a disaster in 1962). Get your picture taken at the Amundsen memorial!! I was a scientist there in the winter of 1979/80 and at least you would get chance to properly see the place in midsummer. Its now mainly a scientific station and port. Watch out for bears.
Bear Island?!?!?! I would absolutely have to stop there. Saw the movie by the same name as a kid, how could I not stop there?
How do you make money ? From the YouTube videos ? Great stuff
23 million$$ a year you make? Wow Sam, doin dam good! That's what a tube video out there claims! Man…. I'm in the wrong business
Gray footage. Can’t wait for your next post.
Cutter rigs are dynamite
Hey Sam ever seen any sea monsters or anything freaky whilst at sea ? 😎
Thanks again Sam!
Beautiful sailing
Have you said in a video / can you tell please what navi app you are using (and maybe why)? Love your style, how you work on things and that you drill holes everywhere in your boat 😀
Tromsø is a dream destination for me, hopefully one day, could even be next year, especially after seeing this. Summer skiing and a great Skyline hill running race. Svalbard, hmm, maybe a bit too far.
His boats amazing
I'm surprised they let you in at all during a time of war.
Isn't Svalbard a place where you can get residency or citizenship just by being willing to live there?
When my autopilot quit, my tech told me that electronics run on smoke. If you let it out, they quit
Thank you so much Sam for another amazing video.
While I was watching this one, I realized I do not have to be jealous of you. I would simply have to imitate you: be bold and ACT!!!
Then nothing would stop us then. As long as health is stable.
I wish you to be healthy and happy for many, many years!
(And I wish to myself to be bold enough to quit everything and sail the world away!)
Great video. Any reason why no life vests were worn, especially when the boat was underway and you went to the front of the boat? Not very safe and ou can fall easily on those choppy waters.
Wow, trip of a lifetime. Neat little cameo appearance of Mark & Asha at the beginning.
Having colon removed in two weeks at 83 years old. Any advice? Best sailing channel ever.
What a gorgeous boat! Apparently Oyster only build 19 Lightwave 48's and their new vessels run well into the millions of dollars. They build some luxury shit.
I like that Carrera with the funky lens
Another cool video Sam
Thanks for sharing your voyages with us
Ok so I am stealing that name right now. I sail in sailaway pc sim and I am totally naming a boat squeaky cheese I love it!!!
Sorry if this has already been said somewhere. Could somebody write me what the program at 4:19 is? Thank you
That invitation to sail the northern latitudes was rare and amazing not to mention its worth 💰 …. great video… clean and crisp like the air and waters.
Cheers 🥂
