  3. Looks like ranger tug is trying to step up their game one thing they can do is have less exposed grp inside the boat where all surfaces are covered with either wood Stone or carbon fiber

  6. Great video- I’m totally converted to this trawler/tug lifestyle- it’s a floating condo!
    Question- is it just me, or is the “whine” of the gyro a bit loud? I noticed the constant high pitched sound during the inside tour of the boat- a bit irritating it seems.. thoughts?

  14. The hidden laundry room blew me away. The amount of windows and natural light is good. Nice boat to cruise inner waterways or the outter banks as well. I like the lay out.

  17. I've been looking at used yachts, for something in the 40-45' range, but I've noticed it's hard to find new ones in that size for some reason. Everyone seems to be making little cabin cruisers or 60'+ superyachts, but nothing midrange. So I was very interested in this walkthrough, and took a look at Ranger's website while I watched.

    Which meant I knew what Victoria's "whaaaaaaat" moment was going to be beforehand, but the virtual tour didn't show how you got to it. That was impressive!

    The gyro stabilizer doesn't come standard, but if you're paying $1M+ for a yacht a $75k option isn't shocking.

    In their virtual tour the desk/vanity in the master is shown set up as a home office, so they clearly had that use in mind when they designed it. I'm pretty sure vanities aren't the desirable feature they might have been 50 years ago, but everyone wants an office.

    This boat is sadly out of reach for me, but it's nice to see what you can expect to find on a fully modern yacht this size.

  20. Is a bigger fuel tank available? Range seems limited. Also, the towers folds to the stern. I like the interior helm door where you can dock when standing out the door.

  25. Not impressed. Our 1953 Richards
    on 43 foot had a master, and guest cabin, full head aft, 2 person crew cabin with it's own head forward along with similarly sized galley and 4 person booth adjacent and in the main saloon a full pull out couch with dining accommodation. No flying bridge but it didn't need one since the helm had excellent 360 view. We did not have a swim platform but we had a lot else. Our family lived aboard as many as 6 months at a time.
