1. Funny how a country that markets itself as an "ecotourist" destination welcomes people by commercial jet but doesn't welcome folks arriving by eco-friendly sailboat! Best wishes for better conditions in the future. Love what you guys do. Thanks for including us!

  2. Stayed in Puntarenas, Puntarenas for a month in June '19; all manner of trash and HYPODERMIC NEEDLES washed on shore, will NEVER go back. Absolutely disgusting.

  3. Hey guys no idea where you are heading next, We are in the Nicoya, Samara well actually on a beautiful mountain between both carrillo and samara. Carrillo has mooring and sits in a protected bay. Maybe head this way. We would love to meet up, Can show you around the area, bring you guys up our beautiful mountain and show you the brand new rental casitas we are building with our 10×30 inground pool. Beautiful beaches here and the people are awesome. Don't let a few, dishearten you, We are Canadians moved here March 2021. The costa rican people are beautiful people. we actually live in a tico community, no big walls, no bars on our windows, & just the sounds of Costa Rica beautiful wild life. If you are interested in meeting up send me a message and will get something arranged. we are just a short 10 minute drive from Carrillo. you can check us out on our channel 😉 Pura Vida 😉

  4. Just watched a video from S/V Delos. They are also in Costa Rica and it's the same story from them. I'd be on my way to somewhere a bit more cruiser friendly.

  5. Tis easy to chase out a flock of angry bees; 2 wires, some seawater and any battery. The voltage makes chlorine so you must also take care as the bees fly to safety seeking fresh air. It works for mosquitos and all kinds of flies, but you must be in a positive ventilated forward cabin w/ a hatch open to skies. As you go shut it off don't breathe and close your eyes, or the survivor among you will document a very sad surprise. The best news is the gas will also kill mold & cockroaches & burglars; or so I've been told.

  6. Yeah, sounds like a American currency friendly country. I thought they were socialists, but found out its really more like capitalists! Thanks for the heads up and I won't be going there. Sorry about your luck but thank you very much for the information.

  7. Hei. Im from Croatia but i live and work in Norway 7 years. You live my dreams! Hope one day im gona live my dream to. You living full live. Hope u are health. Best of luck!🥰Alen

  8. My experience sailing the left coast of central America is EVERYTHING runs on the dollar, rules change every port, and without the correct amount of change in your pocket officials have no sense of humor. Just saying.

  9. It seems that Costa Rica robs a lot of people through fees. A lot of other channels have reported the same. Wow, that prison was drastic. Ahahahahaha, love the bats. 🙂
